Used 2020 Jeep Cherokee for Sale near Utah

How much does the 2020 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 9.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,342 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2020 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.77/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its strong performance, comfortable ride, and spacious, well-equipped interior. The available V6 also gets positive attention for its power and smooth handling, while the Cherokee’s use case fits you well if you want a compact SUV with Jeep styling and available all-weather traction. With 34.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.77/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also leans toward dependable day-to-day ownership, with drivers highlighting a comfortable ride and a well-rounded driving experience. The positive comments around the V6’s smoothness and the interior’s livability suggest a vehicle many owners feel confident keeping for the long haul. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure you avoid a poorly maintained example, since condition matters more when a model has a mixed reputation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Jeep Cherokee?

At 71.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any listing that looks unusually cheap. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and how the vehicle drives, since a clean-looking listing can still hide past damage or deferred maintenance. If possible, compare several examples side by side so you can separate a genuinely good deal from one that needs extra work.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,342 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,620, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $16,620 sits slightly below last year's $18,297.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter even more because buyers will have plenty of comparable listings to choose from. A well-kept Cherokee should still hold interest, especially if it presents as a clean, desirable trim with strong equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.77/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.77/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $18,743, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $16,620 average.
• It adds a more modern identity with impressive, easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and inventory is broad. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year and a more modern-feeling package, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
