How much does the 2020 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 8.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,041 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Hyundai Tucson earns a 4.67/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, smooth ride, and value for money, and they also highlight its extensive tech and safety features. That fits a compact SUV that works well if you want a roomy, comfortable, well-equipped daily driver without stretching your budget. With 37.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Reviewers describe it as dependable in everyday use, with a comfortable, trouble-free ownership experience and strong value over the long term. The combination of a smooth ride, practical cabin, and Hyundai’s warranty coverage supports that reputation. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the ownership experience and more about finding a well-maintained example that has been cared for consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Hyundai Tucson?

At 66.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the listing has any accident or repair history. Focus on overall condition, including signs of bodywork, uneven wear, and how well the interior and cargo area have held up. It is also worth checking that the vehicle feels mechanically sound on a test drive, especially if you plan to use it for highway commuting.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,041 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,736, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $15,736 sits slightly below last year's $17,265.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter even more because buyers will have plenty of comparable listings to choose from. A clean history and strong maintenance record should help you stand out when it is time to trade or sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,218, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $15,736 average.
• It is the final model year of the generation before a redesign.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and plenty of listings to compare. If you are willing to pay more for the last year of the generation, the 2021 is the better secondary path for buyers who want the newer model-year position.
