Used 2020 Honda Passport for Sale nearHarrisonburg, VA

How much does the 2020 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 6.22% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 909 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda Passport earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, smooth ride, and useful cargo-hauling ability. The expert review also highlights its stylish design and comfortable demeanor, along with thoughtful interior functionality and off-road capability.

The main trade-offs are poor fuel economy and some dated-feeling infotainment and electrical concerns raised by owners. For you, that means the Passport makes the most sense if you want a practical two-row SUV with a more adventurous personality rather than maximum efficiency or the newest tech.

The market also shows 32.6% good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with comfort and spaciousness showing up as recurring strengths. The expert review also describes the Passport as a practical, well-rounded SUV that holds its own in a variety of driving situations.

Honda’s performance notes reinforce that sense of durability, with the Passport handling steep climbs and trail driving without noticeable degradation in performance. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that some examples may have electrical or infotainment-related issues, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Passport?

At 71.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks for prior body damage, uneven panel gaps, and signs of poor repairs. Focus on overall condition rather than just mileage, since a clean, well-kept example is likely to be the better buy.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport comes in Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. The base trim is the most stripped-down, while higher trims add more comfort and convenience features; the Elite stands out with perforated, heated, and ventilated front seats, a leather-trimmed heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats, an illuminated beverage holder, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory, and a moonroof.
• Powertrain: Every Passport uses a 3.5-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and all-wheel drive is available while the Elite comes standard with torque-vectoring all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes Collision Mitigation Braking System with forward-collision warning, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and a rearview camera with a birds-eye view. Higher trims can add dynamic gridlines, blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic detection.
• Infotainment: The base Sport gets a 5.0-inch display, while EX-L, Touring, and Elite use an 8.0-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Bluetooth, a USB port, a seven-speaker audio system, push-button start, and keyless entry are standard, and higher trims can add a 10-speaker audio system, satellite radio, two extra USB ports, a wireless phone charger, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.
• Fuel efficiency: Front-wheel-drive models are rated at 20 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, while all-wheel-drive models return 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. The expert review also notes 22 mpg combined for front-wheel drive and 21 mpg combined for all-wheel drive.

Which 2020 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Passport is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Elite.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Passport’s core V6 power, standard safety tech, and basic infotainment. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but it is the most bare-bones version.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the larger 8.0-inch touchscreen, wired smartphone integration, and a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the top. If you want a balanced mix of equipment and price, this is the trim to target.
• Touring: This trim adds more convenience and tech, and it is also the point where Honda Sensing safety technology and navigation are available for an extra fee. It suits you if you want a more loaded Passport but do not need the Elite’s luxury touches.
• Elite: This is the most fully equipped version, with the most comfort features and standard torque-vectoring all-wheel drive. It is the right pick if you want the most premium Passport experience and are willing to pay for it.

Higher trims can add blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic detection.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Passport?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 909 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.22% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,203, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $22,222 sits slightly below last year's $23,694.

That softer pricing suggests the Passport has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help if you buy now and plan to sell later. If you keep the vehicle in good condition and maintain it well, you may be better positioned than a buyer who paid closer to the higher average from a year ago.

The market trend also suggests future resale will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment level. Well-kept examples with desirable features should remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Passport safe?

The 2020 Passport achieved good scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) crash test and evaluation. It was named an IIHS Top Safety Pick.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard, and it includes Collision Mitigation Braking System with forward-collision warning, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and a rearview camera with a birds-eye view. Higher trims can add dynamic gridlines for the rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic detection.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model keeps the Passport’s rugged, comfortable two-row formula with strong off-road capability and thoughtful interior functionality.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $20,249, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $22,222 average.
• It emphasizes space, all-wheel drive, and high ground clearance.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,075, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $22,222 average.
• It adds some additional features while keeping the Passport’s adventurous, comfort-first character.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and current-market availability, the 2020 is the primary pick. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2019 is worth a look for a lower entry cost.
