How much does the 2020 GMC Yukon cost?

Is the 2020 GMC Yukon a good car?

With a user rating of 3.75/5, the 2020 GMC Yukon looks like a strong fit if you want a full-size SUV that emphasizes space, capability, and comfort over finesse. The cabin is roomy and family-friendly, with a spacious third row, plenty of cargo space, and a quieter interior than earlier versions thanks to added sound-deadening materials and laminated glass.

It also brings useful everyday features such as a standard eight-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and available hands-free liftgate convenience on SLT models. The tradeoff is that fuel economy is poor, the seats are described as uncomfortable, and some interior materials can feel cheap, so it makes the most sense if you value utility and presence more than refinement.

With 36.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2020 GMC Yukon reliable?

The 2020 GMC Yukon is presented as a capable, well-equipped full-size SUV with strong V8 power and a practical, family-friendly layout. Its appeal comes from its space, utility, and traditional truck-based toughness rather than from a reputation for refinement.

For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is worth weighing carefully, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle for many years and want to avoid expensive surprises.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 GMC Yukon?

At 73.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you get serious about any listing, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus closely on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the cabin, seats, and major features have held up as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 GMC Yukon?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every good example to disappear immediately.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,123 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,417, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $29,417 sits slightly below last year's $34,949.

That price movement suggests the Yukon has become more affordable for buyers, but it also means sellers may face more pressure to price competitively. If you plan to resell later, condition and maintenance history will matter more because the market is already rewarding cleaner, better-kept examples.

Should I buy a 2020 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.83% compared with last year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $41,907, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $29,417 average.
• It adds more space and a more refined ride.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the better primary choice if you want the lower entry price and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer redesign’s added space and ride improvements, the 2021 is the stronger upgrade path.
