Used 2020 Ford Expedition for Sale nearOrlando, FL

How much does the 2020 Ford Expedition cost?

Prices have softened 14.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,450 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Ford Expedition earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, luxurious feel, and powerful engine, and many also like the advanced features. The main trade-offs are that it can feel pricey and some owners wanted better fuel economy. For you, that means this is a strong fit if you want a large SUV built around family space, towing, and everyday utility rather than low running costs or the latest cabin polish. Good and great deals account for 32.5% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as spacious, luxurious, and dependable-feeling, with many saying they appreciate the strong performance and features over time. The expert review also emphasizes that the underlying engineering is robust, which supports long-term confidence. At the same time, the model’s higher ownership costs and poor fuel economy mean you should expect a used full-size SUV experience rather than a low-maintenance one.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Ford Expedition?

At 74.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because this is a large, expensive SUV, condition matters a lot: pay close attention to interior wear, electronics, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. If you plan to tow, make sure the drivetrain and towing-related equipment are in good shape.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower-level Expedition XLT has quite a bit of hard plastic inside, while the King Ranch and Platinum trims bring a more upscale cabin. If you want the best value, the King Ranch stands out as the sweet spot between luxury and price.
• Powertrain: Every 2020 Expedition uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is optional.
• Safety package: Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance.
• Infotainment: The Expedition uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Sync 3, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, FordPass Connect with a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, navigation, and available premium audio and rear-seat entertainment.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review notes an official EPA rating of 19 mpg for the rear-wheel-drive King Ranch, and the review also reports 17.7 mpg in testing.

Which 2020 Ford Expedition trim should I buy?

The 2020 Ford Expedition is offered in 3 trim levels: XLT, King Ranch, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• XLT: This is the entry point, but the cabin uses more hard plastic than you may expect at this price. It makes sense if you want the Expedition’s space and capability with the lowest starting cost, but it is the least upscale choice.
• King Ranch: This is the best-value trim if you want a more luxurious feel without going all the way to the top. It adds distinctive styling, special leather, and standard adaptive damping suspension, making it the most appealing balance of comfort and equipment.
• Platinum: This is the most conventionally luxurious choice in the lineup. Choose it if you want the most upscale Expedition experience and are willing to pay for it.

Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard, so you get the core safety suite without needing to move up for it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,450 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,788, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $25,788 sits slightly below last year's $30,190.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Because this model has strong owner satisfaction and broad family appeal, clean examples should still attract interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Ford Expedition safe?

The Expedition earns five-star ratings in every NHTSA test plus a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance. The expert review says the system works smoothly and accurately, though the lane-departure vibration can sometimes be hard to distinguish from road vibration.

Should I buy a 2020 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines three-row space, strong towing ability, and a powerful engine in a highly practical package.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,158, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,788 average.
• It adds more modern appeal and remains a strong choice for towing, hauling, and family use.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the smarter buy because prices are lower and the core strengths are intact. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2021 is the better path for shoppers who want the latest version of the Expedition formula.
