At 54.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Because this model is valued for comfort and space, make sure the cabin, electronics, and ride quality all feel consistent with the mileage and asking price.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Impala's resale value?

The current average of $13,873 sits slightly below last year's $15,352.

That softer pricing can help you buy more car for the money now, but it also means future resale gains may be limited unless you choose carefully. A well-kept example with strong service history and clean accident records should hold up better than a rougher one, especially because buyers in this segment tend to reward comfort, space, and condition. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Impala or consider a different year?
