Used 2020 Cadillac XT6 for Sale nearDurham, NC

How much does the 2020 Cadillac XT6 cost?

Prices have softened 11.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 720 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2020 Cadillac XT6 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Cadillac XT6 earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its beauty, spaciousness, and excellent safety features, and they also like the smooth ride and luxurious feel. The XT6’s appeal is strongest if you want three-row practicality in a stylish luxury crossover that feels easier to live with than a larger SUV.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and the interior materials feel cheap for the class. Even so, the XT6 fits buyers who want room, utility, and a more approachable luxury footprint, and 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2020 Cadillac XT6 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for the XT6’s long-term appeal as a family-friendly luxury SUV. The expert evaluation also describes the powertrain as enough to move the vehicle confidently, with a 9-speed automatic that keeps things smooth and usable.

Cadillac also includes a lot of standard equipment for the money, which can help reduce the need for immediate add-ons. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the XT6’s premium image is stronger than its materials and performance, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Cadillac XT6?

At 69.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, paint consistency, and signs of prior repair. Because this model’s appeal depends heavily on style, comfort, and technology, you should also focus on interior wear, screen operation, and whether the cabin still feels well-kept.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Premium Luxury test vehicle shows that the XT6 can be equipped with soft leather, microsuede trim, and gold-tinted carbon fiber accents, while the cabin can feel much plainer in less richly equipped versions. The Sport model adds black grille treatment and a more aggressive appearance, so base trims may feel less distinctive if you want the full luxury look.
• Powertrain: The XT6 uses a 3.6-liter V6 with 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available; the engine is adequate, but it is coarse-sounding and not especially responsive off the line.
• Safety package: Standard driver assists include forward emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring. The Enhanced Visibility and Technology Package adds rear pedestrian detection, a digital rear-view mirror, and 360-degree cameras, while the Driver Assist Package adds higher-speed forward emergency braking, reverse automatic braking, adaptive cruise, and seat-belt tightening.
• Infotainment: The XT6 uses a fast, intuitive system with cloud-based voice commands and a built-in app store. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, and the screen is relatively small.
• Fuel efficiency: AWD models are rated at 17 mpg city and 24 highway, while FWD models manage 18 city and 25 highway.

Which 2020 Cadillac XT6 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Cadillac XT6 is offered in 2 trim levels: Premium Luxury and Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value choice if you want the XT6’s upscale look and comfort without chasing the sportier hardware. It’s the trim that best reflects the model’s strengths in style, space, and easy-to-use technology.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the more aggressive appearance and the added performance-oriented hardware described in the expert review, including a mechanical torque-vectoring rear differential, sport-tuned dampers, a faster steering ratio, and larger 21-inch tires.

The safety-package content shows that key driver-assistance features are bundled rather than fully standard, so check carefully for the packages you want on any trim you consider.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Cadillac XT6?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to make a good purchase possible.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 720 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 69.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,282, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Cadillac XT6's resale value?

The current average of $24,282 sits slightly below last year's $27,476.

That decline suggests the XT6 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a used buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, the current pricing gives you a better entry point than last year’s market.

The XT6’s broad appeal as a stylish three-row luxury crossover should help it remain relevant with shoppers who want space without moving up to a larger SUV. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Cadillac XT6 safe?

The 2020 XT6 has not been crash-tested by either NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver assists include forward emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring. The Enhanced Visibility and Technology Package adds rear pedestrian detection, a digital rear-view mirror, and 360-degree cameras, while the Driver Assist Package adds higher-speed forward emergency braking, reverse automatic braking, adaptive cruise, and seat-belt tightening.

Should I buy a 2020 Cadillac XT6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 XT6 stands out as Cadillac’s first three-row crossover in a decade, with easy-to-use technology and a distinctive design.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,805, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $24,282 average.
• It adds a more refined premium feel, a spacious third row, and impressive technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the smarter starting point because it already delivers the XT6’s core strengths at a lower average price. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year, the 2021 is the better path for buyers who want the same basic formula with a slightly more polished presentation.
