Used 2020 Lincoln Aviator for Sale nearDurham, NC

How much does the 2020 Lincoln Aviator cost?

Prices have softened 12.93% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 871 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2020 Lincoln Aviator a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Lincoln Aviator earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the luxurious feel, powerful performance, and spacious interior. The smooth ride and advanced features, especially adaptive cruise control and comfortable seating, also come up repeatedly in owner feedback.

The main trade-offs are the poor ergonomic design and the cramped third row. That means you should think of it as a comfort-first three-row luxury SUV rather than a maximum-space family hauler.

With Lincoln positioning it as a midsize, 3-row luxury SUV meant to stand out in a crowded segment, it makes the most sense if you value upscale presentation and refinement over outright practicality. Good and great deals account for 30.9% of listings, so there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Lincoln Aviator reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, smooth driving manners, and the kind of upscale execution that tends to build confidence over time. The expert review also emphasizes the Aviator’s refined, hushed acceleration and soft, confident driving character.

Lincoln’s standard equipment and luxury-focused packaging suggest a well-rounded ownership experience, and the available maintenance-friendly ownership experience helps reinforce that impression. For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is that higher-end features and complex powertrains can be more expensive to live with if prior maintenance was neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Lincoln Aviator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a close inspection of the cabin, electronics, and drivetrain behavior. Pay special attention to signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or anything that suggests the vehicle has been used hard or maintained inconsistently.

Because this is a luxury SUV with advanced features, it’s smart to confirm that every convenience and driver-assistance system works as expected. The third row is also worth evaluating in person so you know whether the space works for your needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Standard trim comes well-equipped with three-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, heated front seats, and Sync 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Reserve adds second-row captain's chairs, 12-way power front seats, upgraded leather, a hands-free power liftgate, a Revel premium sound system, quad-zone climate control, a surround-view camera system, and navigation. The Grand Touring adds the plug-in hybrid drivetrain and more luxury content, while the Black Label trims layer on the most upscale equipment and unique upholstery choices. The Standard is the best-value trim because it already includes a strong luxury feature set.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. The Grand Touring pairs that engine with a 100-hp electric motor, battery pack, and charging port for a net 494 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque. Both use a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the plug-in hybrid setup is the more efficient and more powerful choice.
• Safety package: Lincoln Co-Pilot360 includes forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring is also included, and the head-up display is part of the safety and driver-information setup. Some additional driver-assistance features are optional on the Reserve.
• Infotainment: The Aviator uses a 10.1-inch Sync 3 touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a WiFi hotspot, four USB ports, and satellite radio. The landscape layout is a strength, and the system is designed to present smartphone integration across the full screen. A fully digital instrument panel is standard, and a head-up display is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The conventionally powered Aviator with RWD returns 18 mpg city and 26 highway, while the AWD version returns 17 city and 24 highway. The plug-in hybrid returns a combined 23 mpg, plus a 21-mile electric-only range and 56 miles per gallon equivalent combined.

Which 2020 Lincoln Aviator trim should I buy?

The 2020 Lincoln Aviator is offered in 5 trim levels: Standard, Reserve, Grand Touring, Black Label, and Black Label Grand Touring.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the best-value choice because it already gives you three-zone climate control, heated front seats, leather upholstery, parking sensors, and Sync 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you want the core luxury experience without pushing deep into the price range, this is the trim to start with.
• Reserve: This trim adds a more upscale cabin with second-row captain's chairs, upgraded leather, a hands-free power liftgate, a Revel premium sound system, quad-zone climate control, a surround-view camera system, and navigation. It’s the right pick if you want a more premium feel and more convenience features without jumping all the way to the top end.
• Grand Touring: This is the one to choose if you want the plug-in hybrid drivetrain and the strongest performance numbers. It also layers in much of the Standard and Reserve equipment, making it the most compelling option for buyers who want power and efficiency together.
• Black Label: This is the most luxurious non-hybrid trim, with nearly every feature you can get as standard equipment plus unique upholstery choices. It makes sense if you want the richest cabin presentation and don’t mind paying for it.
• Black Label Grand Touring: This combines the Black Label luxury treatment with the plug-in hybrid drivetrain. It’s the top choice if you want the most complete Aviator experience and are willing to pay for it.

Lincoln Co-Pilot360 is standard, but some additional driver-assistance features are optional on the Reserve.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Lincoln Aviator?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to look for.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 871 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.93% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,628, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Lincoln Aviator's resale value?

The current average of $27,628 sits slightly below last year's $31,730.

That price decline suggests the Aviator has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you’re buying now and planning to sell later. A lower entry price can also make it easier to stay ahead of future depreciation if you choose a well-kept example.

For a future seller, the key question is whether the vehicle’s luxury appeal and equipment level remain attractive enough to hold buyer interest. Models with strong condition, desirable features, and clean history should be easier to move than neglected examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Lincoln Aviator safe?

The 2020 Lincoln Aviator earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include a full array of front and side-impact airbags, traction control, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Lincoln Co-Pilot360 adds forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams, with blind-spot monitoring also included.

That gives you a strong standard safety foundation, especially if you’re comparing it with luxury SUVs that reserve more advanced driver assistance for higher trims. The main thing to watch is that some additional safety tech is optional on the Reserve, so you should confirm exactly what’s installed on any used example you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2020 Lincoln Aviator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 introduces Lincoln’s return to a more clearly luxury-focused identity with a stylish design, comfortable cabin, and multiple powertrain options.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $29,987, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $27,628 average.
• It adds a more spacious-feeling, tech-forward luxury SUV package with a softer ride and modern creature comforts.

The bottom line: If you want the lower price and a strong mix of comfort, luxury, and features, the 2020 is the better value. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model-year experience, the 2021 is the path to consider.
