How much does the 2021 Cadillac XT6 cost?

There are 927 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Cadillac XT6 a good car?

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 is a mixed but appealing choice if you want a premium three-row SUV with a strong feature set and a polished driving feel. It earns a user rating of 3.7/5 and an expert rating of 7.5/10.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

From the overview and expert notes, you get a crossover-style alternative to the larger Escalade, plus high levels of refinement, broad premium appeal, spacious third-row seating, impressive technology, and great handling. The trade-offs are clear: advanced safety features are not standard, the stereo is lacking, and performance is fairly pedestrian.

With 32.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Cadillac XT6 reliable?

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 presents itself as a refined three-row crossover, but the expert notes point to a few ownership caveats you should keep in mind. The performance write-up says the SUV is mostly unchanged and that its driving character is competent rather than especially exciting.

The expert notes also describe the XT6 as having a smooth-shifting transmission and a powertrain that gets the SUV going with ease. On the cost side, Cadillac’s packaging strategy can push the price up quickly, so long-term ownership costs may rise if you want more equipment.

For used buyers, that means the XT6 is best approached as a premium family SUV whose condition and maintenance history matter more than any single headline feature.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Cadillac XT6?

At 70.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize an in-person inspection for bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair. Focus on how the cabin equipment works, how the driver-assistance systems behave, and whether the vehicle feels consistent with its mileage and asking price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxury trim is the most basic version, while Premium Luxury and Sport add more equipment and standard blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. The base trim leaves you with fewer standard safety features.
• Powertrain: The base model uses a 2.0-liter turbo-four, while higher trims use a 3.6-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic. The V6 is described as smooth and strong enough for easy acceleration.
• Safety package: The standard suite includes automatic emergency braking, forward-collision alert, following-distance indicator, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, a high-definition rearview camera, Safety Alert Seat, IntelliBeam headlights, and rear park assist. The Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic seat belt tightening, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking.
• Infotainment: You get an 8.0-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, infotainment user profiles, satellite radio, a WiFi hot spot, six USB ports, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system. Navigation and a 14-speaker Bose system are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-four is rated at 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway with front-wheel drive, while the V6 with front-wheel drive returns 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

Which 2021 Cadillac XT6 trim should I buy?

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the XT6’s core three-row layout, standard tech, and standard safety equipment. It makes sense if you want the XT6 experience at the lowest price, but you give up some of the extra safety and convenience features found higher up.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim if you want a more complete luxury experience without jumping all the way to the Sport. It adds more standard safety equipment and keeps the XT6’s premium feel intact.
• Sport: This is the most aggressive-looking version and the one that gets the V6 standard. It suits you best if you want the strongest standard powertrain and the darker exterior treatment, but it is the priciest path.

Premium Luxury and Sport also get lane change alert with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert as standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Cadillac XT6?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 927 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.44% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,805, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Cadillac XT6's resale value?

The current average of $25,805 sits slightly below last year's $29,812.

That price drop suggests the XT6 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation. If you buy at the current average or below, you may be starting from a more favorable position than a buyer who paid closer to last year’s pricing.

For a future seller, that means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Well-kept examples with desirable features should be easier to move than higher-mileage or poorly documented ones.

Is the 2021 Cadillac XT6 safe?

The 2021 XT6 earns a five-star frontal crash test rating from NHTSA and a four-star rollover crash test rating. It also earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

All XT6 models come with automatic emergency braking, forward-collision alert, following-distance indicator, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, a high-definition rearview camera, Safety Alert Seat, IntelliBeam headlights, and rear park assist. Premium Luxury and Sport models add lane change alert with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert as standard.

The expert notes also flag a weakness in the lane-keep assist and lane-departure warning systems, which can be slow to recognize lane markings. If safety is a top priority, you should pay close attention to how the driver-assistance systems behave on your test drive.

Should I buy a 2021 Cadillac XT6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.44% compared with last year.
• The 2021 XT6 is mostly unchanged, so you’re shopping a refined three-row SUV with strong tech and handling.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $24,282, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $25,805 average.
• It offers stylish three-row practicality with easy-to-use technology.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,916, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $25,805 average.
• It brings better ride quality, stronger execution, and great safety ratings.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price and features, the 2021 is the sweet spot. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2020 is the cheaper path; if you want a more polished version and can spend more, the 2022 is the upgrade to consider.
