Should I buy a 2020 BMW X7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 40.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $28,653, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $31,547 average.
• It introduced BMW’s dedicated full-size three-row SUV.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $36,456, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $31,547 average.
• It adds a mild-hybrid powertrain and broader equipment changes.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, availability, and owner satisfaction, the 2020 is the primary year to target. If your budget is tighter, the 2019 is the better value play, while the 2021 makes sense if you want the newer setup and are willing to pay more.
