Used 2020 Audi Q8 for Sale near Colorado

How much does the 2020 Audi Q8 cost?

Prices have softened 13.10% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 634 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Audi Q8 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Audi Q8 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Technology, and Safety.

The Q8 is positioned as a performance-focused crossover that aims to work both on the street and on the track, while still giving you the cargo space and technology expected in a luxury SUV. That makes it a strong fit if you want a more athletic alternative to a conventional two-row luxury SUV.

The trade-offs are that its performance is described as fairly pedestrian and its ergonomic design is poor, so it may not feel as polished in daily use as its styling suggests. Even so, the market shows 37.2% of listings as good or great deals, which supports the case for shopping carefully.

Is the 2020 Audi Q8 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Q8 is described as a luxury SUV with plenty of cargo space and impressive technology, and its expert evaluation also points to a solid overall package for affluent buyers. Its powertrain is described as sufficient, though uninspiring, and the transmission is noted for smooth shifts.

The model’s performance content also points to a turbocharged setup with standard all-wheel drive, which supports a straightforward ownership experience. Audi also includes a four-year/50,000-mile basic warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a premium SUV with this much technology and performance hardware can be costly to keep in top shape, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Audi Q8?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with advanced electronics and performance-oriented hardware. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior damage, and whether the equipment works as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Q8 comes in three trim levels: Audi Q8 Premium, Audi Q8 Prestige, and Audi Q8 Premium Plus. The base Q8 is the least equipped, while the higher trims add more luxury and convenience equipment.
• Powertrain: Every Q8 uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. It makes 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, and it returns 17 mpg in the city, 21 mpg on the highway, and 18 mpg combined.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes high beam assist, automatic windshield wipers, parking sensors, and forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking. SQ8 and RS Q8 models add more standard driver-assistance equipment, while the Q8 makes some of those features available.
• Infotainment: The Q8 uses Audi’s MMI system with dual screens, and it includes navigation, Audi Virtual Cockpit, a WiFi hot spot, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HD Radio, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, Amazon Alexa integration, and front and rear smartphone compatibility.
• Fuel efficiency: The Q8 is rated at 17 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined.

Which 2020 Audi Q8 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Audi Q8 is offered in 3 trim levels: Audi Q8 Premium, Audi Q8 Prestige, and Audi Q8 Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• Audi Q8 Premium: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q8 experience with the standard turbocharged V6, all-wheel drive, and the model’s strong technology base. It makes the most sense if you want the Q8’s style and fundamentals without paying for extra luxury features.
• Audi Q8 Prestige: This is the trim to target if you want a more complete luxury experience, since it builds on the base model with more upscale equipment and convenience features. It’s the best-value choice if you want the Q8 to feel more fully equipped without moving into the performance variants.
• Audi Q8 Premium Plus: This is the upper mainstream Q8 trim, aimed at buyers who want more of the premium content and a richer feature set. Choose it if you want a more thoroughly equipped version of the standard Q8.

Audi notes that the Q8 and SQ8 can be equipped with additional safety and driver-assistance technology, while the RS Q8 gets the most standard equipment in that area.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Audi Q8?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 634 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.10% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,023, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Audi Q8's resale value?

The current average of $31,023 sits slightly below last year's $35,702.

That price movement suggests the Q8 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have less downside than someone who bought when prices were higher.

For resale, condition and equipment will matter a lot because shoppers in this segment tend to compare feature content closely. A well-kept example with strong documentation should be easier to move than one with visible wear or missing options.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Audi Q8 safe?

The Audi Q8 has received very good safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and near-perfect crash test ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Q8, SQ8, and RS Q8 model comes with high beam assist, automatic windshield wipers, parking sensors, and forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking. SQ8 and RS Q8 buyers also get Audi side assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic emergency braking, a 360-degree camera system, and vehicle exit warning as standard, while those features are available on the Q8.

You can also add active lane departure warning with collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, a head-up display with navigation assistance, intersection assist, turn assist, night vision assist with pedestrian and large animal detection, and predictive traffic efficiency assist.

Should I buy a 2020 Audi Q8 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 Q8 is positioned as a performance-focused crossover with plenty of cargo space and impressive technology, while still offering the option of higher-performance SQ8 and RS Q8 variants.

The bottom line: The 2020 Q8 makes sense if you want a luxury SUV with a sporty mission, strong tech, and a market that currently favors careful shoppers. If you’re more price-sensitive, the softened pricing and decent deal availability make this a good year to compare closely against similar listings before you buy.
