At 63.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Audi A3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 180 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.18% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,590, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $17,590 sits slightly below last year's $20,030.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your future resale value will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the car is documented. A clean history and strong upkeep matter more when the market is already pricing the model below its prior average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 is a sensible choice if you want a model year with softer pricing and enough inventory to shop selectively. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
