Used 2020 Acura TLX for Sale nearMcKinney, TX

How much does the 2020 Acura TLX cost?

Prices have softened 2.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 788 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2020 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Acura TLX earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners commonly praise the smooth ride, handling, and overall features, and many also like the exterior design. The recurring trade-offs are the interior layout, button-style controls, and the sense that performance does not always match the price in the luxury-sedan segment.

That fits the TLX’s role as a driver-focused luxury sedan for you if you want engaging road manners and strong value more than a polished cabin experience. Good and great deals account for 33.6% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2020 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for the smooth ride and overall features that help the car feel easy to live with over time. The expert review also describes the TLX as comfortable and quiet for daily driving, which supports the idea that it can be a solid long-term companion.

The main used-buyer risk is that aging controls and infotainment can make the car feel less fresh than newer rivals, so you should pay close attention to how well the cabin electronics and driver-assistance systems work on the specific car you’re considering.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Acura TLX?

At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a hands-on inspection of the body, alignment, and interior controls. Because the TLX’s cabin tech and ergonomics are a known weak point, make sure every screen, button, and driver-assistance feature works as intended on the exact car you’re shopping.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The A-Spec option package adds 19-inch wheels, revised bumper designs, side sill skirts, and oversize round exhaust outlets, while the Technology Package adds comfort, convenience, safety, and infotainment enhancements. The PMC Edition sits at the top of the lineup with unique exterior accents and the most complete equipment set.
• Powertrain: The standard setup uses a 206-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic driving the front wheels. The PMC Edition adds a 290-hp, 3.5-liter V6, a 9-speed automatic, and torque-vectoring SH-AWD.
• Safety package: Every TLX has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and road-departure mitigation. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is included on all but the base TLX with no option packages.
• Infotainment: The TLX uses dual screens, and the system includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The layout is dated and can be frustrating to use, even though the premium audio system sounds good.
• Fuel efficiency: The TLX returned 23 mpg in testing, matching the EPA’s combined figure.

Which 2020 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2020 Acura TLX is offered in 3 trim levels: base TLX, A-Spec, PMC Edition.

Here's the short version:

• base TLX: This is the entry point if you want the lowest-cost way into the TLX, but it misses the blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert that comes on higher versions.
• A-Spec: This is the best-value choice if you want the sharper styling and the Technology Package’s added comfort, convenience, safety, and infotainment upgrades without jumping to the top model.
• PMC Edition: This is the fully loaded choice, pairing the 290-hp V6, SH-AWD, and the most exclusive appearance treatment for buyers who want the most performance and the most equipment.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is not included on the base TLX with no option packages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Acura TLX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 788 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,136, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $21,778 sits slightly below last year's $22,398.

That softer pricing suggests the TLX has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help you if you buy now and hold the car for a few years. For a future seller, the current market indicates that value retention will depend heavily on condition, equipment, and how well the car’s cabin and electronics have aged.

Because the TLX still has a meaningful audience among shoppers who want a driver-focused luxury sedan, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Acura TLX safe?

The 2020 Acura TLX does not qualify for a Top Safety Pick due to an Acceptable rather than Good result in the small overlap frontal-impact test on the driver’s side. It earns five-star ratings in every test conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), including the rollover test.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every TLX has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and road-departure mitigation. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is included on all but the base TLX with no option packages.

The main caveat is the weaker IIHS small-overlap result, so you should pay close attention to crash history and repair quality if you’re considering a used example.

Should I buy a 2020 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 TLX combines strong value with engaging driving manners, but its infotainment and ergonomics remain dated.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,111, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $21,778 average.
• The next generation moves to a new platform with a new exterior, interior, and powertrain choices.

The bottom line: If you want the better bargain, the 2020 is the smarter buy because it already offers strong value and a lower average price. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer design and a more premium-feeling cabin, the 2021 is the better path.
