Used 2019 Toyota 4Runner for Sale nearPueblo, CO

How much does the 2019 Toyota 4Runner cost?

Prices have softened 2.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,007 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Toyota 4Runner a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Toyota 4Runner earns a 4.81/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, smooth ride, and spacious interior, and many also highlight its off-road capability and comfort. The 4Runner’s rugged, trail-focused character fits you best if you want genuine off-road ability and everyday livability in a four-door SUV.

The trade-offs are clear: you give up modern technology, and advanced safety features are not standard. Even so, 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Toyota 4Runner reliable?

Owners rate it 4.81/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Reviewers repeatedly describe it as reliable and durable, and they also point to a trouble-free ownership experience over time. The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by emphasizing proven hardware and a drivetrain that has been around for years, which can be reassuring if you value dependability over novelty.

The cost-of-ownership trade-off is that long-term running expenses can still be high, especially if you plan to drive it often or keep it for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Toyota 4Runner?

At 64.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, underbody components, and signs of trail use or prior repairs. Because this model is often bought for rugged use, condition matters as much as mileage, and you’ll want to confirm that any off-road wear is consistent with the seller’s story.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SR5 comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, smoked-out taillights, under-body skid plates, tinted rear and side windows, and a power up/down rear window. It is pretty bare bones, so the SR5 Premium is the better value if you want heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, heated front seats, SofTex upholstery, a power front passenger seat, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.
• Powertrain: You get one engine: a 4.0-liter V6 with 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is available, but 4WD with low-range is the setup that matches this SUV’s mission.
• Infotainment: The 4Runner does not offer Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The SR5 Premium adds Entune Premium Audio with Navigation, and the system is basic rather than cutting-edge.
• Fuel efficiency: 4WD versions return 17 mpg city, 20 highway, and 18 combined. RWD versions do 17/21/18.

Which 2019 Toyota 4Runner trim should I buy?

The 2019 Toyota 4Runner is offered in 6 trim levels: SR5, SR5 Premium, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, Limited, and TRD Pro.

Here's the short version:

• SR5: This is the entry point, but it is sparse enough that you’ll likely want to move up unless price is your only priority. It gives you the core 4Runner experience, but not much else.
• SR5 Premium: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the comfort and convenience features that make daily use easier, including heated front seats, SofTex upholstery, and navigation.
• TRD Off-Road: Choose this if you want the trail-focused hardware and are willing to give up some comfort content. It adds the off-road gear that defines the 4Runner’s capability.
• TRD Off-Road Premium: This is the sweet spot if you want the off-road equipment plus more everyday comfort. It brings back the premium touches and adds a power moonroof.
• Limited: Pick this if you care more about curb appeal and a more upscale cabin than trail hardware. It leans toward chrome, leather, and comfort.
• TRD Pro: This is the most capable and most specialized version, with upgraded suspension, skid plates, and all-terrain tires for buyers who want the most rugged setup.

The safety content notes that advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, so you should not expect a modern suite on any trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Toyota 4Runner?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,007 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.42% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,385, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Toyota 4Runner's resale value?

The current average of $31,773 sits slightly below last year's $32,560.

That modest decline suggests the market has softened a bit, but not dramatically. For a future seller, that means you may not see rapid appreciation, yet the 4Runner’s reputation and steady demand can help support pricing better than many mainstream SUVs.

Because this model attracts buyers who value durability and capability, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than more ordinary used SUVs. Strong condition, clean history, and desirable trims will matter a lot if you want to protect your resale position.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.81/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Toyota 4Runner safe?

The 2019 Toyota 4Runner earns four-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with three-star rollover results.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety equipment is basic: a full array of airbags, traction control, and a reversing camera. The bigger issue is that advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, so you do not get the kind of active safety suite that many newer SUVs include.

That lack of modern safety tech is the main caveat here, especially if you’re comparing it with newer alternatives that offer more standard driver assistance.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota 4Runner or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.81/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 stands out for its rugged, off-road-first character and proven hardware.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $35,007, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $31,773 average.
• It adds standard advanced safety features.

The bottom line: if you want the lower price and the classic 4Runner formula, the 2019 is the better value. If you’re willing to pay more for newer safety equipment, the 2020 is the smarter upgrade. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2019 remains the more approachable path.
