Is the 2019 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The 2019 Subaru Impreza is presented as a practical all-weather compact car with standard all-wheel drive, everyday usability, and a balance of serious performance and day-to-day practicality. It is especially appealing if you want traction and utility without giving up the basics of daily driving, and it is described as affordable and practical fun. With 34.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2019 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 Subaru Impreza is described as a practical, straightforward ownership choice with all-wheel-drive confidence and everyday usability. At the same time, the overview notes that many examples have been heavily used, abused, or modified, which means condition can vary a lot from one used example to another. For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is ending up with a car whose history or wear level undercuts the model’s otherwise practical appeal.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Subaru Impreza?

At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident or title issues. After that, put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your list, especially if the car shows signs of heavy use or modification. Focus on overall condition, maintenance evidence, and whether the car still feels like a straightforward, well-kept daily driver rather than a hard-used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Impreza?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 961 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.60% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,894, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $14,556 sits slightly below last year's $14,946.

That price movement suggests the market has softened a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy a clean, well-documented example so you preserve as much value as possible. A car that has been maintained well and avoided heavy wear should be easier to move later than one with a rough history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Subaru Impreza makes the most sense if you want standard all-wheel drive, practical daily usability, and a used-car market that still offers a fair number of deal opportunities. If you are price-sensitive, you can also keep shopping nearby years and compare condition closely, since the best value will likely come from the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than the cheapest one.
