Used 2016 Subaru Impreza for Sale nearPittsburgh, PA

How much does the 2016 Subaru Impreza cost?

Prices have softened 4.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 755 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. The 2016 Subaru Impreza stands out as a practical all-weather compact with standard all-wheel drive, which gives you extra confidence in poor conditions. It also blends everyday usefulness with a reputation for being affordable and practical fun, rather than trying to be a purely sporty or luxury-focused car.

Its strengths are balanced by some familiar compromises. The ride is described as rough in daily driving, and the interior materials are cheap. Even so, the Impreza’s formula is straightforward and appealing if you want security, a usable cabin, and no-nonsense practicality.

31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Subaru Impreza’s appeal comes from its straightforward, practical character and standard all-wheel drive, which can make it a reassuring choice for everyday use. Its usable cabin and affordable, no-nonsense setup also support the idea that it is built to serve as a dependable daily driver rather than a high-strung performance car.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a car with this kind of practical, all-weather use may have seen harder service, so condition matters a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Subaru Impreza?

At 56.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with past damage. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the ride quality, cabin condition, and overall wear, since this model is described as having a rough ride and cheap interior materials. Focus on how the car has been maintained and whether it still feels tight and well cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Subaru Impreza?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal potential to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 755 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,349, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $10,629 sits slightly below last year's $11,148.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can work against you if you're selling soon. If you buy now, you may want to plan for a resale path that depends more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on broad market appreciation. A well-kept example should still be easier to move than a neglected one, especially if it presents as a clean, practical all-weather car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $10,205, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $10,629 average.
• It adds better interior amenities and a quieter cabin.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $12,613, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $10,629 average.
• It brings an all-new, more modern package with standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, availability, and proven appeal, the 2016 is the primary year to target. If your budget is tighter, the 2015 is the better value play; if you want a newer-feeling package and can spend more, the 2017 is the upgrade path.
