How much does the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 5.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,745 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the Crosstrek’s safety features, interior comfort, and enjoyable driving experience, while also noting its practical everyday usability. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a compact crossover that is easy to live with, especially if you value a simple, capable setup over flash. With 33.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback describes the Crosstrek as reliable and enjoyable to drive, with praise centered on its dependable character and trouble-free ownership experience. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used vehicle you can count on for daily driving and long-term use. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated hidden wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Subaru Crosstrek?

At 68.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, signs of repair quality, and whether the car’s wear matches its mileage and asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Crosstrek?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s-market discount.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,745 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,808, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $17,195 sits slightly below last year's $18,160.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and whether the vehicle has a clean history. A well-kept Crosstrek should still appeal to shoppers who want a practical compact crossover with strong owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,846, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $17,195 average.
• It emphasizes practicality, safety, and a tougher, more adventurous feel.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and availability, the 2019 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the more budget-friendly alternative and still delivers the Crosstrek’s core appeal.
