The same reviews highlight comfort, fuel economy, and safety as reasons people feel confident living with it over time, even though a few owners mentioned battery-related concerns. What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda HR-V?

At 59.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you get too far along. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive or the seller’s maintenance documentation is thin. You should also focus on overall condition, since a practical model like this is often chosen for daily use and may show wear in the interior, brakes, tires, and suspension.

The model’s practical reputation and broad appeal should help support resale interest, especially among buyers who want efficiency and versatility in a small SUV.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.59% compared with last year.
