How much does the 2019 Nissan Sentra cost?

Is the 2019 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — 4.57/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. Owners commonly praise its value, comfort, smooth driving experience, technology features, and fuel economy. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical compact sedan for commuting and routine errands, especially if you prioritize comfort and everyday usability over excitement. With 29.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.57/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many drivers find dependable for daily use, with praise centered on value, comfort, and a smooth driving experience. The same reviews also highlight fuel economy and useful technology, which can matter if you want a trouble-free commuter that you can count on over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and still drives as comfortably as expected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Nissan Sentra?

At 58.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, since prior damage can affect value and future repair risk. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially if you notice signs of uneven panel gaps, suspension issues, or a ride that feels harsher than expected. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and how the car drives on rough pavement, since owners mention bumps and a firmer ride.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best examples.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,580 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,051, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $10,322 sits slightly below last year's $11,004.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. The current market still shows meaningful demand, especially for well-kept examples with clean history and strong equipment. If you buy carefully now, you may be better positioned to preserve value later by choosing a car that already sits near the lower end of the market range.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.57/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.57/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $14,809, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $10,322 average.
• It brings a more upscale design with major technology and driving-dynamics upgrades.

The bottom line: If your priority is value, the 2019 is the better starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you want a newer-feeling Sentra and are willing to pay more, the 2020 is the stronger upgrade path; for price-sensitive buyers, the 2019 is the smarter buy.
