Why it stands out
The 2019 Nissan LEAF is a strong contender in the electric vehicle segment, providing a practical blend of economy and functionality ideal for urban driving. With enhancements that include a more robust motor and an impressive range increase, the LEAF caters to daily commutes effortlessly. Its innovative e-pedal technology empowers drivers to navigate traffic smoothly, allowing for one-pedal driving which recuperates energy while slowing down. Owners generally appreciate the vehicle's reliability and the engaging driving experience, alongside its spacious cargo area, making it a versatile choice. However, some users have pointed out that while the LEAF excels in urban environments, its range may still be limiting for longer road trips compared to competitors like the Chevrolet Bolt and Hyundai Kona Electric. Additionally, the tech features could use an upgrade to compete with newer models, but the value it offers remains compelling for budget-conscious buyers looking to transition into electric driving.

The leaf is loaded with the features that matter, it is fun to drive and handles well , and will efficiently get me from point a to point b. It handles well on snow and ice, low center of gravity, the heated seats and steering wheel are perfect for Colorado winters and mountain driving.

I've only had the car a couple of days, but I'm pretty happy with the purchase over all. I wish I had a few more amenities that came with the SL like: heated seats, 360° cameras, but I can do without it. The ePedal, ECO mode, charger timer and seamless use of free charging where I work are amazing! I do have to take the car to the dealer to correct the sound of the reverse alert, but overall very excited and happy with my choice.

It is like driving a silent altima. It is a very well sorted out out car. Handling is wonderful. Acceleration is like a 60s muscle car. If I could afford it I would get a newer one with a longer range. Fortunately I dont actually need that. Wanted one of these for years!

I love driving this car. It has a lot of pep and handles very well. The Bose sound system is the best Ive had in a car ever, and there are a few other bells and whistles that make it fun to get into. The range is about 150 miles on a full charge. We are new to EVs, so were challenging ourselves to extend the range as long as possible. We plugged it into our 120 V socket at home and it charges slowly there, but would fully charge overnight. Weve also found lots of fast charging stations within just a few miles of us. If youre looking to get into an electric vehicle, I highly recommend the 2019 Nissan Leaf!!
