How much does the 2019 Nissan Kicks cost?

Prices have softened 7.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 924 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Nissan Kicks a good car?

Generally — the 2019 Nissan Kicks earns a 4/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Technology and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its good value, solid feature content, and great fuel economy. The user feedback also highlights the touch screen interface and ample safety features as recurring strengths.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is sluggish, all-wheel drive is not available, and the seats are described as uncomfortable. That makes it a better fit if you want an affordable, easygoing commuter than if you want a more versatile or refined crossover.

The listings market shows 32.8% good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Nissan Kicks reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a budget-friendly crossover that delivers good value, solid features, and great fuel efficiency, with many drivers also appreciating its comfortable passenger space and ample safety equipment. The review summary also frames it as an easygoing everyday commuter, which supports the idea that it can be a dependable choice for routine use.

The expert evaluation reinforces that practical, commuter-focused character, and the cost-effectiveness discussion emphasizes its low price and good fuel economy. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the same compromises that keep it affordable can also make it less satisfying if you expect stronger performance or more refinement.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Nissan Kicks?

At 72% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a close inspection of bodywork, interior condition, and any signs of prior repair. Because this model is often bought for value and efficiency, it makes sense to focus on whether the car has been maintained well and whether the cabin and safety equipment still feel complete and functional.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim is the most basic, with 16-inch steel wheels, manual folding mirrors, black plastic bumpers, and cloth seats, while the SV adds 17-inch alloys, heated side mirrors, push-button start, remote start, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a half-digital instrument panel. The SR adds unique exterior touches, a 360-degree camera, and available navigation, Bose audio, heated front seats, and Prima-Tex leatherette upholstery.
• Powertrain: The Kicks uses a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine with a CVT and front-wheel drive only. It is efficient, but the powertrain is not strong, especially when you need passing or merging acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning and avoidance, front- and side-impact airbags, a reversing camera, tire pressure monitoring, and Nissan’s Easy Fill Tire Alert system. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts are added on the SV and SR trims.
• Infotainment: The base setup includes a 7-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth, while higher trims add Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a half-digital instrument panel. The screen is simple to use, though the graphics are described as dated.
• Fuel efficiency: The Kicks is rated at 31 mpg city, 36 highway, and 33 combined.

Which 2019 Nissan Kicks trim should I buy?

The 2019 Nissan Kicks is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SR.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the nicer convenience features. You still get a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Siri Eyes Free, three USB ports, and standard automatic emergency braking, so it covers the essentials well.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers. It adds 17-inch alloys, heated side mirrors, push-button start, remote start, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the half-digital instrument panel, making it the most balanced choice for everyday use.
• SR: Choose this if you want the most upscale presentation and the most available equipment. It adds the 360-degree camera, fog lights, full LED headlights, and available navigation, Bose audio, heated front seats, and leatherette upholstery.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts are standard only on the SV and SR trims.

What is the 2019 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $11,987 sits slightly below last year's $12,954.

That decline suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you keep the car in good condition and avoid examples with accident history, you should be in a better position to preserve value. The model’s value-oriented reputation and strong fuel economy should continue to support demand among budget-minded shoppers.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines standard advanced safety features with strong fuel economy and a low average price.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $11,799, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $11,987 average.
• It is a practical commuter-focused crossover with everyday usability.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around shopping case, the 2019 is the better pick because it pairs a lower current average price with solid safety and good feature content. If your priority is spending as little as possible, the 2018 is the cheaper alternative and still fits the same practical, commuter-first mission.
