How much does the 2019 Nissan Frontier cost?

Is the 2019 Nissan Frontier a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Nissan Frontier earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its power, value, and comfort, and many describe it as rugged and reliable with a no-frills personality. That makes it a good fit if you want a straightforward midsize pickup that focuses on basic truck usefulness rather than modern luxury or tech. With 33.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Nissan Frontier reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary repeatedly describes it as reliable, rugged, and dependable, with owners saying it meets their basic needs without extra frills. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used truck you can count on for everyday work and ownership over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the truck’s core toughness and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Nissan Frontier?

At 61.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from trucks with collision records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of heavy use, uneven wear, or repairs that may affect long-term durability. Focus on overall condition and maintenance history, since a work-oriented truck can vary a lot from one listing to the next.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Frontier?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find value.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

If you find a listing below $17,854, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Frontier's resale value?

The current average of $18,174 sits slightly below last year's $19,286.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays under pressure. For a seller, the good news is that the Frontier’s value proposition and owner satisfaction can help keep demand steady. Trucks with a reputation for being dependable and practical often hold buyer interest better than more niche used vehicles.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Frontier or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,544, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,174 average.
• It adds a newer engine and transmission for stronger powertrain performance.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition and history. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer powertrain improvements, the 2020 is the better upgrade path.
