Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with comfort and smoothness standing out over time. At the same time, you should weigh the cost of long-term ownership carefully, since depreciation and upkeep can matter more on a used luxury SUV like this.

At 71.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a qualified mechanic. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the luxury features and suspension systems operate as they should.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 824 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.25% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,408, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $22,408 sits slightly below last year's $26,133.

That price movement suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if values stabilize from here. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit further value loss. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.25% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2019 makes sense if you want a well-liked, full-size luxury SUV and you can find one with clean history and strong maintenance records. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2019 stands out as a balanced choice when you want comfort, space, and a softer used-market price.
