I love this car and all the excellent power features, especially the automatic seat and steering wheel, front and rear heated passenger seats, heated steering wheel and comfort of handling the road . The only thing I dont like is the rear passengers space, it is small, so its not built for long rides with adults, only small children, and since its a luxury car for older adults, more space is needed in the rear for adults. Excellent value for this luxurious vehicle with its amenities. I would compare it to an SUV Lexus and better than a Volvo, as I didnt care for the interior of the Volvo, but the Volvo was priced more and this MKC has much more power features.

The compact MKC arrived in 2014 as a 2015 model, the smallest of Lincoln’s four crossovers. In its tenure, it has served as an entryway for upwardly mobile customers into the brand’s portfolio, as well as drawn in customers from other premium brands. Now, for 2019, Lincoln has given it an update.

The one exterior change is the grille. The MKC trades its two-piece split-winged unit for a single notched mesh grille echoing those seen on the recent Continental, MKZ, Navigator, and Nautilus. Other than that, everything is as before, with prominent LED accents in the headlight assembly and front bumper, the same chiseled lines and clean window shapes across each side, and a clamshell liftgate with a full-width tail light at the rear. It was and continues to be a handsome mode of conveyance. The interior remains competitive in the premium compact segment as well. And drivers can now enjoy some new color options, such as the Rialto Green and ash wood combination available on the Reserve trim.

Both of the MKC’s powertrain options return for 2019. The base engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with 245 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, offered in either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Buyers can choose to upgrade to a turbocharged 2.3-liter inline 4-cylinder unit with 285 hp and 305 lb-ft, plus standard all-wheel-drive (AWD) and the ability to tow as many as 3,000 lbs. Both engines are mated to a crisp 6-speed automatic transmission. EPA estimates the MKC reaches 21 mpg in the city and 28 on the highway.

The MKC offers a host of standard features; these include 18-inch wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity, keyless access and start, and leatherette upholstery. Options include full leather, navigation, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium audio system. Buyers can also upgrade to the Lincoln Black Label experience and choose from one of three exclusive interior themes, plus membership privileges like annual vehicle detailing, unlimited car washes, and unique dining experiences.

Safety-wise, every MKC gets a standard reversing camera, park assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic detection. For 2019, Lincoln has added forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. While the 2019 model has not yet been crash tested, earlier versions scored well in all tested crash categories by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The Lincoln MKC remains a competitive entry in the premium compact crossover field. The improved 2019 model arrives at dealership vehicles during the summer of 2018.
