Used 2019 Lexus IS for Sale nearBaton Rouge, LA

How much does the 2019 Lexus IS cost?

Prices have softened 4.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 404 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2019 Lexus IS a good car?

The 2019 Lexus IS is a solid fit if you want a compact luxury sports sedan with a fun-to-drive character, a low price point, and a small footprint. It is especially appealing if you want premium-brand style without moving up to a larger sedan, but it is less convincing if you need family-friendly rear-seat space or maximum practicality. The user rating is 3/5.

Its appeal is strongest for younger buyers and shoppers who value a premium feel in a smaller package. The model year also benefits from standard luxury equipment and available safety features, which helps it feel well equipped for the class.

There are 33.4% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Lexus IS reliable?

The 2019 Lexus IS is presented as part of a model line with a long reputation for being fun to drive, and it also benefits from the brand’s strong reliability reputation. It sits in the third generation with a revamped infotainment system and a familiar set of standard luxury features, which makes it a relatively straightforward used-car choice if you want a premium sedan without chasing the newest tech.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about complexity and more about whether the specific car has been maintained well and avoided hard use, since condition and history matter a lot in this segment.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Lexus IS?

At 52.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for prior damage, uneven wear, and any signs of poor repairs. Focus closely on overall condition, because a clean-looking luxury sedan can still hide issues that affect long-term ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Lexus IS?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective if you shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 404 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,559, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $24,287 sits slightly below last year's $25,463.

That price movement suggests the model has softened enough to help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well you preserve the car. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the vehicle consistently, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell. A clean history and strong condition will matter more than ever if the market stays selective.

Should I buy a 2019 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.62% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a smart pick if you want a middle-ground IS with modern-feeling equipment, a sporty personality, and a lower entry price than newer examples. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may also be worth comparing, but the 2019 stands out as a balanced choice when you want premium style without stretching too far.
