How much does the 2019 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its comfort, smooth ride, spacious interior, and feature set, while value for money also comes up often. For you, that makes it appealing if you want a comfortable compact SUV with updated tech and a practical cabin. The market also looks reasonably active, with 33.4% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a comfortable ride, a smooth driving experience, and a vehicle many owners feel good about living with over time. The same feedback also points to a generally dependable ownership experience for many drivers, especially when the vehicle is well maintained. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that condition can vary widely, so a careful inspection matters more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Jeep Cherokee?

At 68% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with accident records. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to the transmission, electronics, and overall maintenance history. Focus on how the vehicle drives, shifts, and behaves under normal use, because condition differences can matter more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,680 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,456, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $14,456 sits slightly below last year's $16,012.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays steady. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter a lot, because buyers tend to pay more for cleaner, better-documented examples. A well-kept Cherokee should still hold interest, but you should expect resale to track broader used-market demand rather than surge sharply.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Cherokee with the updated styling, added tech, and a strong owner-satisfaction score, the 2019 is the one to target first. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby year may be worth considering, but you should still compare condition, accident history, and pricing closely before deciding.
