Used 2019 Jeep Cherokee for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2019 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 9.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,947 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers most often praise the Cherokee for its comfort, smooth ride, and feature content, while also calling out the spacious interior and V6 performance as highlights. The 2019 refresh adds useful tech and a more modern cabin, which makes it a practical fit if you want a comfortable, well-equipped compact SUV. With 32.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable in daily use, with comfort and value coming through as recurring positives. That said, some shoppers mention tech issues and uneven equipment on lower trims, so the safest used-buying approach is to focus on maintenance history and overall condition rather than assuming every example will age the same way. For long-term ownership, the biggest risk is buying a poorly maintained or lightly equipped example that may not deliver the same trouble-free experience as the better-kept ones.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Jeep Cherokee?

At 69.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the transmission, electronics, and overall fit and finish, since those are the kinds of areas that can separate a good used example from a risky one. It also helps to focus on how the vehicle was maintained, because condition and service history matter more when a meaningful share of the market has prior damage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Jeep Cherokee?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,947 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.57% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 69.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,745, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $14,745 sits slightly below last year's $16,306.

That price movement suggests the Cherokee has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you choose a well-kept example with strong equipment and clean history, you may be better positioned to limit further value loss. The market also tends to reward vehicles that remain appealing to shoppers looking for comfort and value in a compact SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2019 is the right pick if you want the refreshed styling, added tech, and a strong owner-satisfaction profile in a compact SUV that still feels well equipped. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than the newest badge alone.
