Is the 2019 Hyundai Accent reliable?

At 48.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any car you’re seriously considering and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A clean-looking car still deserves a close mechanical and cosmetic check before you commit.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which can help you estimate future depreciation more confidently. If you buy at a sensible price and keep the car in good condition, you’re less likely to take a big hit when it’s time to sell. Strong demand for well-kept examples should help support value, especially if you avoid cars with accident history or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Hyundai Accent or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $9,094, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $10,052 average.
• The 2018 stands out as an affordable, value-focused small sedan with a low starting price and mainstream appeal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the current-year market with steady pricing and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2018 is the better value play, especially if you find a clean example with a solid history.
