Is the 2019 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The repeated emphasis on satisfaction and family usefulness suggests you can expect a vehicle that many owners feel good about keeping for the long haul. For used buyers, that usually means lower ownership anxiety if you choose a well-maintained example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Odyssey?

At 60.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any listing that looks especially appealing. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the cabin features and family-use equipment all work as expected. Because this model is often used as a daily family hauler, wear and tear can vary a lot from one example to the next.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,679 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,079, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $21,079 sits slightly below last year's $22,983.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter even more because buyers will have plenty of comparable listings to choose from. Strong demand for well-kept family minivans should still support interest in clean examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,251, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $21,079 average.
• The 2018 adds more features, better handling, and improved versatility.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of satisfaction, inventory, and pricing, the 2019 is the better primary pick. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the smarter secondary path.
