How much does the 2019 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Chevrolet Trax earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a budget-friendly subcompact SUV. The overview points to a model built around maneuverability, affordability, and practical packaging, with the elevated driving position and added space you expect from a crossover. It also benefits from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a newer infotainment system, and available all-wheel drive, so it fits well if you want a small, easy-to-live-with SUV rather than a larger or more performance-focused one. 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the Trax’s reliability story is tied more to straightforward, value-oriented design than to standout performance or advanced content. Its appeal comes from being compact, practical, and simple to live with, which can be a plus if you want a used SUV with a familiar feature set and manageable ownership expectations. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about finding a well-kept example than chasing a complicated vehicle with lots of high-end systems.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Chevrolet Trax?

At 62.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the condition matches the listing. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, uneven panel gaps, tire wear, and any evidence that the vehicle has been repaired after an incident. Because this model is valued for practicality and affordability, condition matters a lot when you compare one used example against another.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,781 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.27% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,864, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $10,866 sits slightly below last year's $12,110.

That decline suggests the Trax has become more affordable on the used market, which can help you buy in at a lower entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. If you keep the Trax clean, documented, and mechanically sound, you give yourself a better chance of standing out in a market where shoppers have plenty of choices.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want a value-focused Trax with a strong user rating and a market that still offers meaningful deal opportunities. If your priority is simply finding the lowest possible entry price, a nearby year may also be worth comparing, but the 2019 is a sensible starting point when you want a balance of affordability, availability, and buyer confidence.
