How much does the 2019 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have softened 9.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,267 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2019 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — the 2019 GMC Terrain earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its unique design, safety features, and value for money, and many also like the attractive looks and interior features. For you, that makes it a good fit if you want a compact SUV with a more premium feel, a roomy cabin, and a comfort-first personality rather than maximum utility. 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that the Terrain feels dependable, with praise centered on its stability, safety, and overall confidence-inspiring character. That kind of response suggests you can expect a used example to be a sensible long-term ownership choice if it has been maintained well. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about the condition of the specific vehicle you choose.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 GMC Terrain?

At 67% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for bodywork, alignment, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past repairs. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since the best used Terrain will be the one that has been cared for consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 GMC Terrain?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,267 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,350, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $15,350 sits slightly below last year's $17,017.

That price movement suggests the Terrain has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may have less downside left than a buyer who pays closer to the top of the market. Strong owner satisfaction can also help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $13,855, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $15,350 average.
• It offers a more conceptually appealing compact crossover with comfort and spaciousness.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall ownership signal, the 2019 is the better primary target, especially if you can find one with a clean history and a price near the lower end of the market. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, the 2018 is the secondary path to consider, but you should be more selective about condition and value.
