How much does the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD cost?

Prices have softened 4.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,026 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and conditions.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD a good car?

Yes — 4.8/5 is a strong user rating, and owners consistently praise its performance, especially the Duramax diesel engine, along with its towing and hauling capability. The truck also appeals if you want serious utility without giving up a more refined, tech-forward cabin, and it fits buyers who need a capable workhorse with available comfort and convenience features. With 30.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as dependable and capable, and the feedback points to a truck many owners feel they can count on for towing and hauling. The strongest praise centers on durability and confidence in everyday use, which matters a lot in a heavy-duty pickup.

For used buyers, that kind of ownership sentiment lowers some long-term risk, but you should still verify maintenance history and overall condition before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD?

At 72.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report first so you can screen for accident records, title issues, and major repairs. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on trucks that have been used for towing or hauling. Focus on overall condition, since heavy-duty use can leave wear that is not obvious from photos alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,026 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,399, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD's resale value?

The current average of $33,399 sits slightly below last year's $34,801.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the current trend suggests you may need to price competitively to stand out, especially if your truck has average mileage or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $38,602, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $33,399 average.
• It adds a more do-it-all, modern-feeling approach with broader convenience and capability focus.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2019 is the smarter starting point because it combines strong owner satisfaction with a lower average price and meaningful inventory. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model-year experience and broader feature emphasis, the 2020 is the secondary path to consider.
