Used 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 for Sale nearAmarillo, TX

How much does the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 9.13% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 10,951 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and conditions.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfortable ride, solid performance, and spacious interior. They also highlight its quietness, power, acceleration, and handling, which fits a full-size pickup that works well for everyday driving as well as truck duties. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a comfortable, roomy truck with confident road manners rather than something that feels stripped down or overly utilitarian.

Good and great deals account for 32.9% of listings, so there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in daily use, with repeated praise for its comfortable ride, solid performance, and quiet operation. Reviewers also describe strong acceleration and handling, which supports the impression that this is a truck you can count on for regular driving and hauling.

The expert evaluation also emphasizes a stiff, well-buttoned-down structure and satisfying driving manners, which reinforces the sense of durability. The main ownership risk for used buyers is making sure the truck has been maintained well, since condition and prior use matter a lot in a full-size pickup.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

At 68.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then focus your inspection on body condition, repair quality, and signs of hard use. Because this is a truck, it also makes sense to pay close attention to wear in the cabin, bed, suspension, and steering feel. If you are comparing multiple listings, prioritize the one with the cleanest history and the most consistent maintenance record.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes WT (Work Truck), Custom, LT, RST, LTZ, and High Country, with Trail Boss versions of the Custom and LT adding a lifted off-road suspension and rugged appearance. Base-trim trucks are more likely to feel sparse, while higher trims bring a more polished cabin and more available equipment.
• Powertrain: The truck is offered with a broad engine range, including a turbocharged 2.7-liter 4-cylinder, a turbocharged 3.0-liter 6-cylinder diesel, a 4.3-liter V6, two versions of a 5.3-liter V8, and a 6.2-liter V8. The 5.3-liter V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management and automatic stop/start is described as strong, though fuel economy in testing fell short of expectations.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes pedestrian braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a following-distance monitor, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and Rear Seat Reminder. The optional Safety Package adds front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change alert, and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: The Silverado uses Chevrolet Infotainment 3, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and Teen Driver. A high-definition reversing camera is available with three views and guidance lines, and embedded navigation is available only on LTZ and High Country.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert test truck returned 13.8 mpg on one loop and never broke an average of 15 mpg on another highway-heavy drive, while the review also notes an expected 17 mpg figure that was not matched in practice.

Which 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is offered in 8 trim levels: WT (Work Truck), Custom, LT, RST, LTZ, High Country, Trail Boss, and LT Trail Boss.

Here's the short version:

• WT (Work Truck): This is the most basic choice, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the Silverado lineup and do not need many extras. It is the trim most likely to feel sparse, but it gives you the core truck experience.
• Custom: This trim adds more everyday appeal than WT while staying relatively accessible. If you want a better balance of value and equipment without moving far up the price ladder, this is the one to watch.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it sits in the middle of the lineup and can be paired with useful upgrades without jumping into luxury pricing. It is a smart choice if you want a well-rounded truck rather than a stripped-down workhorse.
• RST: Choose this if you want a more style-focused version of the Silverado with a sportier look. It is a good fit if appearance matters to you as much as utility.
• LTZ: This is the more upscale route, and it is the trim you want if you care about a richer feature set and access to embedded navigation. It suits buyers who want a more premium-feeling truck.
• High Country: This is the top luxury-oriented trim, aimed at shoppers who want the most upscale Silverado experience. It is the right pick if you want the most polished version of the truck.
• Trail Boss: This version adds a lifted off-road suspension and rugged appearance, so it is the one to consider if you want the Silverado’s more adventurous look and stance.
• LT Trail Boss: This is the most compelling Trail Boss choice if you want the off-road look and capability with a better-equipped cabin than the lower Trail Boss version. It is the best fit for buyers who want rugged character without giving up too much comfort.

The Safety Package is worth seeking out if you want the added parking sensors and lane-change alert features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

The market looks selective but workable for a buyer who is ready to move on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 10,951 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.13% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,851, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500's resale value?

The current average of $25,851 sits slightly below last year's $28,449.

That decline suggests the truck has become more affordable for used buyers, which can also make it easier for future sellers to price competitively. If you buy well now, you may benefit from a market that has already adjusted downward from last year’s higher level. The key for resale will be condition, mileage, and trim desirability, since cleaner examples should remain easier to move.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 safe?

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Silverado adds pedestrian braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a following-distance monitor, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and Rear Seat Reminder. The optional Safety Package adds front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change alert, and rear cross-traffic alert.

A key caveat is that the truck had not yet been crash-tested at the time of the review, so you should lean heavily on equipment level and condition when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a more comfortable ride, stronger structure, and improved safety equipment.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $27,863, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $25,851 average.
• It adds a new 3.0-liter turbodiesel and more modern camera-based convenience features.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2019 is the smarter buy because prices have already softened and inventory is healthy. If you are willing to pay more for added powertrain and convenience updates, the 2020 is the better next step.

How does the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 compare to the 2019 Ford F-150?

Our experts score the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 7.3/10 and the 2019 Ford F-150 8.2/10.

The Silverado is the more affordable used buy here, with a slightly lower average price and a strong deal share. The F-150 brings better expert scores, stronger fuel economy in the comparison table, and a larger pool of listings to shop from. If you want the better value on price and still like the Silverado’s comfort and roomy cabin, the Chevy makes sense; if you want the stronger all-around package, the Ford has the edge.
