CarGurus Analysis: 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
overall
Summary
With 9,720 currently listed for sale and an average price of $28,284, 32.6% of 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4.48 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.17 / 10.
73.2% of 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is a full-size pickup built for work, play, and everyday use, and it stands out as one of the most popular vehicles in the country. It follows its 2019 redesign with several updates, including a new 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline 6-cylinder engine, greater availability of popular powertrains across trim levels, a new bed-view camera, and a camera-based adaptive cruise control system. Those changes make the truck more appealing, especially for buyers who want a broad range of capability and equipment choices.
It also has some clear strengths that help define its appeal. The Silverado offers multiple powertrain options and a comfortable cabin, and owners commonly praise its excellent fuel economy, smooth performance, and spacious interior. At the same time, it is not without drawbacks: advanced safety features are not standard, and value for money is a weak point. Some owners also note that certain features, such as a bed camera and electric seats, are missing for the price, and the rear camera has been criticized for poor performance in low light.

I purchased the 3.0 liter diesel for the torque and fuel economy. Neither one disappoints. The $50k purchase price was steep but was the best value when compared with equally trimmed competitors. I love this truck!
