Is the 2019 Chevrolet Impala reliable?

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with praise for the car’s smooth ride and overall value. Comments about being happy with the vehicle and appreciating its comfort and performance reinforce the sense that this is a car many owners can count on over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the core package and more about finding a well-kept example with consistent maintenance and no hidden condition issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Chevrolet Impala?

At 49.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, repair quality, tire wear, and signs that the car has been maintained consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Impala?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find value if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 535 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 49.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,825, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Impala's resale value?

The current average of $13,860 sits slightly below last year's $15,336.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the lower end of the range, you may help protect yourself from further depreciation. Strong condition and a clean history matter more when the market is already softening.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.77/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Impala or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.77/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2019 is a strong choice if you want a roomy, comfortable full-size sedan with solid owner approval and a market that currently offers some negotiating room. If you’re price-sensitive, you can also use the softer pricing trend to target the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than stretching for a newer year at a higher price.
