2019 Chevrolet Camaro

After an eight-year hiatus, the Chevrolet Camaro hit the market again in 2010. Facing stiff competition, it was given a complete redesign on an all-new structure for 2016. Now, for 2019, the model sees a major facelift.
Chevrolet continues to offer the Camaro in coupe and convertible styles. There are four basic trims, LS, LT (1LT, 2LT and 3LT), SS (1SS and 2SS), and ZL1 each progressively nicer than the last. These trims also determine the exterior styling, and it’s now far easier to tell them apart. Three of the four models see model-specific front and rear ends with new bumpers, grilles, hoods, headlights, and taillights. The LS and LT share a design, while the SS has a unique look of its own. The ZL1, fresh off the heels of its debut, doesn’t see any front end changes, but it does have redesigned taillights similar to the other grades. The RS appearance package, available on LS and LT, makes a return for 2019, complete with a new 20-inch wheel design, HID headlights, LED taillights, unique upper and lower front grilles, and a unique rear spoiler.
The Camaro delivers power solely to its rear wheels and comes with one of four packages, depending on the trim. The base setup, standard on LS and LT, is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder unit with 275 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, and either a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters. This arrangement is the fuel economy champion of the lineup, delivering as many as 22 mpg city, 31 highway, and 27 combined. That said, it’s still tuned for fun, offering 90 percent of its available torque below 2,000 rpm. The LS and LT can be upgraded with a 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine worth 335 hp and 284 lb-ft.
One brand new addition for 2019 is the track-focused Turbo 1LE package—an add-on for the 2.0-liter that corresponds with the 1LE packages offered on the larger engines. It bundles a track-tuned suspension, enlarged front and rear stabilizer bars, upgraded wheels, heavier-duty brakes, and a Track mode.
Buyers of the SS trim are treated to a 6.2-liter 8-cylinder engine with an even 455 hp and 455 lb-ft. The 6-speed manual transmission carries over, but a 10-speed automatic replaces the old 8-speed unit and adds launch control and line lock. In addition to the substantial power upgrade, there’s a new hood with a functional air extractor for improved engine cooling and standard Brembo brakes. A magnetic suspension is an extra-cost option.
Finally, the ZL1 tops the heap with an uprated, supercharged version of the same 6.2-liter V8, allowing for 650 hp and 650 lb-ft. The magnetic suspension, giant 15.35-inch Brembo brakes, electronic limited-slip rear differential, and Recaro racing front seats are standard.
As far as equipment, both the standard 7-inch and optional 8-inch touchscreen infotainment systems have been moved over to Chevrolet’s latest software, offering enhancements to their configuration, voice command, and app functions. Both units come from the factory with full Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other standard features on the LS include 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless access and start, automatic climate control, and a color instrument panel LCD display. Things like leather upholstery, larger wheels, navigation, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot are available on higher grades.
A reversing camera is standard equipment for the Camaro. The Convenience and Lighting Package is optional for LT and 1SS and standard for higher trims. It includes rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change alert, and—for coupe models—new forward-collision alert. The 2SS and ZL1 get an electronic mirror that does double duty as an LCD rearview display.
With the so-called pony-car wars are as fierce as ever, it makes sense that Chevrolet wants to stay on its toes. In the 2019 Camaro, Chevrolet dials up its remarkable styling and throws in more content and configurations. Deliveries of the updated Camaro begin later in 2018.

by Guru9Y6V8FWith such low miles it was like it was a brand new car. Previous owner maintained very well. A 2010 that had been driven less than 1700 miles average per year. -
Review
by Guru9Y2LCRThe Camaro SS drives great but is claustrophobic. The LS is strong and the LT2 six cyl. is amazingly quick. The LT 2 and the ss are both very cheaply designed and appointed , thank God they made great strides forward on the 2015 and up. Other than the cheapo interior the car is fine. To bad they are stopping production in 2023. Probably to be repla... -

by KennethThis car is a great value in terms of value per dollar. I will admit there is one or two feature I would have like to had, but they were not deal breakers. Enthusiastically happy 2020 LT1 owner.
