Is the 2019 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong overall satisfaction with this model year. The 2019 Cadillac Escalade ESV is built around space, power, and a distinctly upscale presence, with seating for eight, generous cargo room, and a power-operated third row that makes folding seats easier. It also brings a 6.2L V8 with 420 horsepower, so you get the kind of strong performance that fits a large luxury SUV. For you, that makes it a compelling choice if you want maximum interior room, serious towing and hauling capability, and a premium-feeling cabin. 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Cadillac Escalade ESV reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2019 Cadillac Escalade ESV pairs its upscale cabin and strong V8 power with a feature set that supports everyday comfort and convenience, including magnetic ride control suspension, a rear camera mirror, and a hands-free power liftgate. At the same time, its eight-speed automatic transmission has a troublesome reputation, and that is the kind of issue you should take seriously when shopping used. For long-term ownership, that means you should pay close attention to service history and drivability so you can avoid a costly surprise later.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

At 61% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to the transmission, suspension, and any signs of uneven wear or poor repair quality. Because this model is a large, premium SUV, condition matters a lot: focus on how well the cabin, electronics, and mechanical systems have been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 589 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.41% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,936, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $27,936 sits slightly below last year's $30,502.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, because a premium SUV like this tends to hold attention when it presents cleanly and is priced competitively. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want a large luxury SUV with strong V8 power, a premium feature set, and a market that has softened enough to create some negotiating room. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2019 remains the better fit when you want the strongest mix of space, luxury, and current pricing balance.
