Used 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV cost?

Prices have softened 10.60% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 703 listings available, which suggests a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV’s overview backs that up with its emphasis on space, power, and premium features. It offers three rows of seating, room for eight passengers, and up to 121 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats folded, so it fits well if you need a large luxury SUV for people and gear. Its 6.2L V8 and available towing capacity of 8,100 pounds also make it appealing if you want serious capability in a high-end package. There are 31.6% good or great deals in the market, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also points to a strong mix of comfort and convenience equipment, which can help the vehicle feel well equipped over time. At the same time, the poor fuel economy and troublesome eight-speed automatic transmission are important considerations for used buyers. For long-term ownership, that means you should pay close attention to maintenance history and drivability before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

At 65.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on body condition, suspension behavior, electronics, and transmission operation. Because this model is large and premium, condition matters a lot more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 703 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.60% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,803, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $30,803 sits slightly below last year's $34,456.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make future resale a little more competitive if you buy at the wrong point in the cycle. If you purchase near the lower end of the range and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you give yourself a better chance of limiting depreciation. Demand should remain supported by the Escalade ESV’s size, luxury positioning, and capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $51,616, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $30,803 average.
• It adds more modern technology and a more advanced-feeling cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer-feeling, more tech-forward SUV, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
