Used 2019 Buick Envision for Sale nearMorgantown, WV

How much does the 2019 Buick Envision cost?

Prices have softened 5.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 627 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Buick Envision a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Buick Envision earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its comfort, luxury features, smooth ride, spacious interior, and value compared with higher-end brands. In use, that lines up with its compact luxury SUV positioning for younger luxury shoppers who want an upscale alternative without moving into a larger vehicle class. You should also keep in mind that the Envision’s appeal depends heavily on how it is equipped, and the market shows 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2019 Buick Envision reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, value, and a smooth ride that owners seem happy to live with over time. The expert review also describes the Envision as quiet and composed, which supports the sense that it is built for steady everyday use rather than drama. Buick’s emphasis on a comfortable ride and upscale feel suggests a vehicle that can be easy to count on if you buy one in good condition.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the concept and more about whether the specific vehicle was equipped and maintained in a way that justifies its premium ambitions.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Buick Envision?

At 72.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the equipment level matches what you expect for the money. Because this model’s value depends so much on trim and options, you should make sure the features you want are actually present.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim comes with 18-inch wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, heated front seats, and an 8-way power driver’s seat, while the Preferred trim does not add much beyond opening up more option packages. The Essence adds a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, select driver-assistance features, and memory settings for the driver’s seat and side-view mirrors. The Premium AWD is the recommended trim because it adds a Bose premium stereo, 19-inch aluminum wheels, bi-LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, an upgraded 8-inch semi-digital instrument panel, and the more powerful engine. The Premium II AWD adds heated and cooled front seats, a head-up display, navigation, leather seating, and all-wheel drive.
• Powertrain: The FWD, Preferred, and Essence trims use a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with 197 horsepower and an outdated 6-speed automatic transmission. The Premium and Premium II trims use a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 252 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, paired with a new 9-speed automatic and standard AWD.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes ten airbags and a reversing camera with Rear Park Assist. Essence and Premium trims add blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. The Premium trim also adds lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision alert. The Driver Confidence Package is available only on the Premium II trim and includes adaptive cruise control, automatic front braking, and a 360-degree camera.
• Infotainment: The Envision uses an 8-inch touchscreen with GM’s Intellilink system, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system is straightforward, with hard buttons and dials below the screen and customizable icons on the home screen.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.5-liter FWD setup returns 22 mpg city and 29 highway. The turbo AWD test model was rated at 20/25/22, and the review notes that the 2.5-liter’s fuel-economy gains do not make up for its lack of power.

Which 2019 Buick Envision trim should I buy?

The 2019 Buick Envision is offered in 5 trim levels: base FWD Envision, Preferred, Essence, Premium AWD, and Premium II AWD.

Here's the short version:

• Envision: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core luxury-SUV basics with 18-inch wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, heated front seats, and an 8-way power driver’s seat. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting point, but it is the least compelling choice if you care about value per dollar.
• Preferred: This trim does not add much, but it opens up more option packages. You should only consider it if you find a specific listing with the equipment you want already installed.
• Essence: This is the better-equipped middle ground, adding a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, select driver-assistance features, and memory settings for the driver’s seat and side-view mirrors. It is the trim to target if you want a more premium feel without jumping all the way to the top.
• Premium AWD: This is the best-value trim. It adds the stronger engine, AWD, a Bose premium stereo, 19-inch wheels, bi-LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and an upgraded instrument panel, which makes it the most balanced choice for most shoppers.
• Premium II AWD: This is the most luxurious version, with heated and cooled front seats, a head-up display, navigation, leather seating, and AWD. Choose it if you want the fullest feature set and are willing to pay for it.

The Premium trim also brings the most complete standard safety package, while the Driver Confidence Package is reserved for Premium II.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Buick Envision?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 627 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,827, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Buick Envision's resale value?

The current average of $16,827 sits slightly below last year's $17,878.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Envision more attractive to used buyers than to sellers. If you own one, pricing pressure may continue to work against you unless your vehicle is especially well equipped and well maintained. On the other hand, the lower entry price can help keep demand steady among shoppers looking for a compact luxury SUV at a more approachable cost.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Buick Envision safe?

The 2019 Buick Envision earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with ten airbags, a reversing camera with Rear Park Assist, and a suite of driver-assistance features that expands as you move up the trim ladder. Essence and Premium trims add blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while the Premium trim adds lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision alert. The Driver Confidence Package, available only on Premium II, adds adaptive cruise control, automatic front braking, and a 360-degree camera.

A key caveat is that many of the most useful safety features are not standard on the lower trims, so you need to check equipment carefully if safety tech matters to you.

Should I buy a 2019 Buick Envision or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 model year is positioned as a compact luxury SUV with a strong comfort-and-value pitch, but it still asks you to pay attention to trim and equipment.

The bottom line: If you want a used compact luxury SUV with a softer price trend and strong owner satisfaction, the 2019 is the one to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, shop carefully for a well-equipped listing and prioritize condition and history over badge appeal.
