Used 2019 BMW X7 for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2019 BMW X7 cost?

Prices have softened 15.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 626 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 BMW X7 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 BMW X7 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, spaciousness, comfort, handling, and the wide range of options available in upgraded models. That lines up with its role as BMW’s dedicated three-row SUV, giving you a full-size luxury option if you need more passenger space without leaving the brand. With 37.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a reasonably favorable market to shop in.

Is the 2019 BMW X7 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels luxurious, spacious, comfortable, and enjoyable to drive, with upgraded models offering plenty of desirable equipment. The expert evaluation also describes the X7 as refined and well-executed, with smooth power delivery and a strong overall driving experience. BMW’s over-the-air update capability also helps reduce some ownership friction by limiting dealership visits for software updates.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a large, heavily optioned luxury SUV can become expensive to maintain if prior care was inconsistent, so service history matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 BMW X7?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check each listing carefully, because a clean history percentage does not guarantee a problem-free individual vehicle. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, confirm that the electronics, seating functions, and driver-assistance features work properly, and pay close attention to wear on a large luxury SUV that may have seen heavy family use. If the vehicle has been optioned heavily, make sure every feature you care about is actually present and functioning.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The xDrive40i gives you all-wheel drive, an air suspension, 4-zone auto climate control, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive LEDs, and power everything, while the xDrive50i adds the V8, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, multi-contour front seats, and genuine leather. The xDrive40i is the better value if you want the core luxury experience without stretching to the pricier engine upgrade.
• Powertrain: The xDrive40i uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 with 335 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque, while the xDrive50i uses a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 with 456 hp and 479 lb-ft. The inline-6 is described as smooth and linear, while the V8 delivers stronger thrust and a 5.2-second 0-60 time.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes parking sensors front and rear, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-departure warning. The Driving Assistance Pro package adds adaptive cruise with lane-keep and lane-change assist, evasive steering, front cross-traffic alert, and BMW’s automated driving system, while the Parking Assistance package adds a 360-degree camera and automated parking.
• Infotainment: The X7 uses a 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation and an updated iDrive interface, and it supports subscription-based Apple CarPlay. The system can also be updated over the air.
• Fuel efficiency: The xDrive40i returns 20/25/22 mpg city/highway/combined, while the xDrive50i returns 15/21/17 mpg city/highway/combined.

Which 2019 BMW X7 trim should I buy?

The 2019 BMW X7 is offered in 2 trim levels: xDrive40i and xDrive50i.

Here's the short version:

• xDrive40i: This is the trim to start with if you want the core X7 experience at the lower entry price. You still get all-wheel drive, air suspension, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive LEDs, and the 12.3-inch touchscreen, so it covers the essentials well without forcing you into the V8’s higher running costs.
• xDrive50i: Choose this if you want the stronger V8, the richer standard interior, and the upgraded audio and seating equipment. It suits you best if you care more about effortless power and a more indulgent feel than about keeping purchase price and fuel use down.

The safety package is a meaningful upgrade path on either trim, especially if you want adaptive cruise, lane-keeping support, and the 360-degree camera.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 BMW X7?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and enough discounting to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 626 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,615, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 BMW X7's resale value?

The current average of $28,615 sits slightly below last year's $33,748.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the good news is that the X7 still occupies a desirable luxury-SUV niche, so well-kept examples should continue to attract attention. Strong equipment, clean history, and documented maintenance will matter a lot when it comes time to list it.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 BMW X7 safe?

The 2019 BMW X7 has yet to be tested by the government’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the independent Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes parking sensors front and rear, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-departure warning. If you want more capability, the Driving Assistance Pro package adds adaptive cruise with lane-keep and lane-change assist, evasive steering, front cross-traffic alert, and BMW’s automated driving system. The Parking Assistance package adds a 360-degree camera and automated parking.

Because the X7 is tall and heavy, rollover performance is a reasonable thing to watch closely when you evaluate a used example.

Should I buy a 2019 BMW X7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It’s the first model year of BMW’s dedicated three-row flagship SUV, so you get the original version of the X7’s full-size layout and family-focused packaging.

The bottom line: If you want the earliest X7 and you find one with a clean history, strong service records, and the options you care about, the 2019 can make sense as a value play. If you’re shopping primarily on price and want the broadest selection of clean, discounted listings, keep comparing individual examples carefully and be ready to move quickly on the best-priced one.
