Acura’s standard maintenance coverage adds a helpful ownership perk for new buyers.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core vehicle and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not burdened by neglected electronics or missing equipment.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Acura RDX?

At 71.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Pay close attention to condition, equipment completeness, and whether the infotainment system and driver-assistance features work as expected. Because some shoppers note that certain desirable features may depend on packages, it’s worth confirming exactly what’s installed before you buy.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base RDX comes well equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, a power liftgate, a panoramic moonroof, leather upholstery, heated 12-way power front seats, dual-zone climate control, remote keyless entry with push-button start, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Technology Package adds upgraded leather, GPS-linked climate control, voice recognition, navigation with real-time traffic, extra USB ports, premium audio, and more driver-assistance features. The A-Spec Package adds darker styling, larger wheels, ventilated front seats, and upgraded audio. The Advance Package adds the most comfort and convenience features, including 16-way front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, and a surround-view camera.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available. The AWD system is torque-vectoring and can send power rearward for better traction and more confident handling.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning, forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, road-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. The Technology Package adds front and rear parking sensors plus blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, while the Advance Package adds a head-up warning system.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 10.2-inch HD monitor with Acura’s True Touchpad interface. It includes Bluetooth, HD Radio, two front USB ports, and Apple CarPlay, but not Android Auto. The system is widely described as having a steep learning curve.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-wheel-drive model returns 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, while the AWD version returns 21 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.

Which 2019 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2019 Acura RDX is offered in 4 trim levels: base RDX, Technology Package, A-Spec Package, and Advance Package.

Here's the short version:

• base RDX: This is the best-value starting point if you want the core RDX experience without paying for extras. You still get the strong turbo engine, a long list of standard comfort features, AcuraWatch, and the full-size infotainment setup, so it covers the essentials well.
• Technology Package: This is the trim to target if you want the most balanced upgrade. It adds navigation, better audio, more convenience tech, and extra safety equipment, making it the most compelling step up for many shoppers.
• A-Spec Package: Choose this if you care most about styling and a sportier presentation. It adds darker exterior treatment, larger wheels, ventilated front seats, and upgraded audio, but it is more about appearance and atmosphere than a major mechanical change.
• Advance Package: Pick this if you want the most comfort and convenience features. The added seat adjustments, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, head-up display, and surround-view camera make it the most luxurious version.

The Technology Package is the best-value trim for most used buyers, and the safety-package upgrades become more complete as you move up the range.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Acura RDX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,303 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,243, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $22,317 sits slightly below last year's $23,666.

That softer pricing trend suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to resell later, the current discount may limit near-term upside, but it also means you are less likely to overpay today. Strong demand for well-equipped luxury crossovers can still support future value if the vehicle is clean and properly maintained.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 brings a full redesign with a more upscale cabin and stronger standard equipment.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $24,234, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $22,317 average.
• It carries over the redesigned formula while keeping the same broad value proposition.

The bottom line: If you want the better bargain, the 2019 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and a redesigned package. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2020 is the cleaner alternative for shoppers who want to stay closer to the next model cycle.
