I have the SE Trim level. Roomy sedan that fits two adults up front and two kids plus a car seat in the back. On top of that it has the pep and acceleration of a sports car. Smooth ride yet fun to drive. The perfect all around combination.

You get a lot of bang for your buck with the VR6 in this surprisingly roomy sedan. The rear seat and trunk room is impressive. Pros - VR6 is powerful and pulls strong in any gear at any speed. It also has a wonderful throaty exhaust note. Put a Borla exhaust on this and you gain about 30 bhp and wow does it sound mean! - LED headlights are wonderful for night time visibility. - Tons of trunk space for a mid-sized sedan. - Handles well through turns with only minimum body roll. - Lots of standard safety features - AEB, Rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitor, etc. Cons - Soft steering - Skinny tires, need more rubber on the road to use all that horsepower without chirping or spinning when the lead foot is unleashed. -

We are very happy with the 2018 Passat. It is roomy inside and has a huge truck. The back seats drop for more storage too. It has a great backup camera and apple car play . Unfortunately it does not have a home link system to link garage doors or a seat memory button. The driver’s side has a power seat but no memory button. There is great pick up and it rides nicely. Definitely a good value car.

A more-powerful base engine and a new GT trim add some much-needed sportiness to Volkswagen’s stalwart sedan.

The Passat is getting a little long in the tooth, but it’s still a competitive option in the midsize segment. Still, there’s always been a distinct lack of sportiness in the lineup. In preparation for the next generation—slated to debut in 2020—Volkswagen fitted the 2018 Passat with an upgraded 4-cylinder engine and added a new GT trim offering a V6 and a sport suspension. Additionally, advanced safety systems such as blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and a forward-collision warning system with automatic emergency braking can now be added to the base S trim.
