Why it stands out
The 2018 Subaru Outback is recognized for its robust blend of utility and functionality, making it an excellent choice for both daily driving and outdoor adventures. It stands out with its standard all-wheel drive and respectable ground clearance, allowing it to handle a range of road conditions with ease. This model offers a spacious cabin with ample cargo capacity—35.5 cubic feet behind the back seat and up to 73.3 cubic feet with the rear seat folded down—ideal for families or those with active lifestyles. Additionally, safety is a top priority; equipped with Subaru's EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, the Outback boasts impressive crash protection ratings, receiving a Top Safety Pick+ designation from the IIHS. The improvements in cabin noise reduction and the introduction of a more sophisticated interior layout in 2018 further enhance its appeal. While the standard engine may leave some wanting more in terms of power, the optional 6-cylinder variant provides a significant boost, making it suitable for varied driving scenarios.

Call me biased, but I don’t see why everyone doesn’t go for this car. Meets all my needs and it’s reliable, relatively affordable, and sleek looking, what more could I want

I came from a 2009 Nissan Murano SL AWD. This outback has so many fancy features! I love the blind spot monitors, the automatic braking, adaptive cruise, lane detection, etc. Only things Im missing from my Murano are my toe hitch, my 6 CD changer, and buttons in the truck to lift the back seats for me.

I bought the Premium model as a replacement for my 2012 Outback. My 2018 has navigation and moon roof. Car is awesome. Drives and shifts more smoothly than the older one. Not that much acceleration getting on the freeway but adequate. I like all the safety features (blind spot detection, back up camera, lane detection, etc.). Ill be keeping this car until self-driving cars are the standard.
