Used 2018 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearMesa, AZ

How much does the 2018 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 8.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,409 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, and good safety features, and many also like the smooth ride and modern tech such as CarPlay. That lines up with the Rogue’s positioning as a roomy, comfortable, affordable compact crossover with broad appeal. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want everyday practicality and a cabin that feels easy to live with rather than something sporty. 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels comfortable, spacious, and good to live with over time, and the repeated praise for its smooth ride and useful tech suggests a dependable daily-driver experience. The expert evaluation also describes it as a roomy, comfortable, and affordable crossover with class-leading technology, comfort, space, and reasonable price. Nissan’s ProPilot Assist and other driver aids add to the sense that the Rogue was built to be easy to count on in everyday use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the cabin experience and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by heavy use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Nissan Rogue?

At 54.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and any signs of prior repair. Because the Rogue’s appeal is tied so closely to comfort, space, and technology, you’ll also want to make sure the cabin electronics, driver-assistance features, and infotainment system all work as expected. If you’re comparing multiple listings, focus on condition first and equipment second, since a clean, well-kept example is likely to be the better long-term buy.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim is the least expensive and comes with coarser fabric and harder plastic, while the SL adds padded leather trim on the center console, armrests, and dash, plus ribbed stitching on the seat inserts. The SL is the most upscale choice in the data, but it also sits at a much higher price point.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a single 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission and either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The data notes that the engine is weak, loud, and rough, though the CVT does a decent job extracting what it can from the powertrain.
• Safety package: ProPilot Assist is Nissan’s semi-autonomous driving system, and it works with adaptive cruise control to help steer on marked highways and some divided two-lane roads. Blind-spot monitoring is standard, Intelligent Trace Control is standard, and 360-degree AroundView cameras are available on lower trims. ProPilot Assist is only on the SL with both the Premium and Platinum packages.
• Infotainment: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and Nissan redesigned the infotainment system for 2018 with a more usable interface and a customizable home screen. The system also includes weather and traffic apps, smartphone walking directions, and NissanConnect telematics features such as remote unlocking and automatic 911 notifications.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD models are rated at 26 mpg city and 33 highway, while AWD models are rated at 25/32. The expert review also notes an average of 24 mpg in testing.

Which 2018 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2018 Nissan Rogue is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, Midnight Edition, and SL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point and the least expensive way into the Rogue. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest purchase price and are comfortable giving up the more upscale materials and higher-end equipment found on the upper trims.
• SV: This is the best-value trim in the data. It sits in the market’s sweet spot, and the review notes that most well-equipped AWD SV models are priced under $30,000. If you want a balanced mix of price, comfort, and equipment, this is the trim to target.
• Midnight Edition: This is an SV with a blacked-out look. Choose it if appearance matters to you more than maximizing value, since the data frames it as a style-focused variant rather than a major equipment upgrade.
• SL: This is the most upscale trim, with padded leather trim and the most premium-feeling interior details. It is also the only trim that can get ProPilot Assist when equipped with both the Premium and Platinum packages, so it is the one to consider if you want the most advanced driver-assistance tech.

ProPilot Assist is only available on the SL with both the Premium and Platinum packages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Rogue?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,409 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,176, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $12,176 sits slightly below last year's $13,360.

That price movement suggests the Rogue has softened in the used market, which can be good news if you’re buying now but less favorable if you’re planning to sell soon. A lower current average can mean your future resale value may not climb quickly unless market conditions improve. Still, the Rogue’s broad appeal, comfort, and strong owner satisfaction help support demand among used shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2018 Rogue earns a Top Safety Pick from IIHS and a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings for all seat positions in side crash tests, three-star ratings for the front passenger and four-star ratings for the driver in front-impact crash tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Rogue’s safety story is strong overall because blind-spot monitoring is standard, Intelligent Trace Control is standard, and the IIHS gave it a Superior rating for its standard auto-braking system. ProPilot Assist adds another layer of driver assistance, but it is limited to the SL with both the Premium and Platinum packages. The main caveat is the lower front-impact NHTSA results, which are worth keeping in mind if safety is your top priority.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• For 2018, the Rogue adds automated driver assists that rival the best from luxury automakers.

The bottom line: If you want the Rogue with the strongest mix of comfort, tech, and current pricing, the 2018 model is a solid place to focus. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may still want to compare nearby years, but the 2018 stands out for its combination of value, owner satisfaction, and advanced driver-assistance tech.
