Is the 2018 Nissan Murano reliable?

The owner feedback also emphasizes that the Murano feels dependable, with many drivers highlighting its smooth, trouble-free everyday use and the kind of comfort that makes it easy to live with over the long term. For used buyers, that suggests the bigger ownership risk is less about the model’s basic appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by age or mileage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Nissan Murano?

At 63% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with collision records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually strong. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior repair work, and whether the cabin and driving feel match the seller’s description.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Murano?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

If you find a listing below $13,686, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $13,689 sits slightly below last year's $15,635.

That softer pricing suggests the Murano has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned than someone who pays closer to the top of the range. Demand should also be helped by the model’s comfort-focused appeal and broad owner approval.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a smart choice if you want the Murano’s comfort, style, and strong owner approval at a lower used price. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year with similar equipment may also be worth comparing, but the 2018 stands out as the better value play when condition and history check out.
