Is the 2018 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Nissan Murano earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, elegant interior, stylish appearance, and high-tech features. If you want a midsize SUV that leans toward comfort and a more upscale feel rather than ruggedness or sporty handling, this model year fits that use case well. Is the 2018 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that the Murano feels dependable in everyday use, with comfort and smoothness standing out as traits people can count on over time. That kind of consistent praise matters if you plan to keep the vehicle for the long haul. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about choosing a well-kept example with a clean history and solid maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Nissan Murano?

At 65.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has any accident history or incomplete service records. Focus your condition check on the cabin, steering feel, and overall wear, since those are the areas that will matter most when you’re comparing used examples.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Murano?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,396 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,727, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $13,727 sits slightly below last year's $15,607.

That price movement suggests the Murano has become more affordable for buyers, which can make it a tougher vehicle for sellers to command top dollar in the short term. If you plan to resell later, your best protection is buying well and keeping the vehicle in strong condition. A clean history and good maintenance will matter more when the market is already showing softer pricing.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want the Murano’s comfort-first character, upscale feel, and a market price that has moved down meaningfully. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, this year looks especially appealing because the pricing is softer and there are enough listings to compare carefully. If you want the newest nearby option and are willing to pay more, a different year may make sense, but the 2018 is the better value-focused path.
