Used 2018 Lexus RX for Sale near New Hampshire

How much does the 2018 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 2.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,405 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Lexus RX earns a 4.64/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the smooth, comfortable ride, spacious interior, and luxurious features. The RX also gets credit for being reliable with low maintenance costs, which helps it appeal as a practical luxury choice. In use, it fits buyers who want a refined crossover with comfort and upscale character more than cutting-edge tech.

There are 37.3% good or great deals in the market, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.64/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a reliable, low-maintenance ownership experience, and reviewers repeatedly describe it as dependable over time. The expert evaluation also notes that the engine is smooth and responsive, with the transmission handling its responsibilities without issues. On the cost side, the model’s ownership case is helped by low maintenance costs, though the tech and packaging tradeoffs mean you should still judge each used example carefully.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about whether the vehicle’s condition and equipment level match the premium price you’re paying.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Lexus RX?

At 60.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a close inspection of bodywork, interior wear, and any signs of prior repair quality. Because this model’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and luxury features, condition matters as much as mileage. If you’re considering a higher-priced example, make sure the equipment and overall presentation justify the asking price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim already includes LED headlights and fog lights, leather upholstery, keyless ignition and entry, tri-zone climate control, power front seats, an 8-inch display, and a safety suite. Higher packages add roof rails, a sunroof, auto-dimming mirrors, auto wipers, driver memory, wood trim, upgraded audio, and more luxury touches.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-liter V6 with 290 hp and 263 lb-ft of torque through an 8-speed automatic. It is smooth and responsive, though it is slightly less efficient than the standard RX and can feel a bit eager to upshift for fuel economy.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ is standard, with adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning and intervention, and forward-collision warning and intervention with auto braking. Blind-spot monitoring is not standard.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses an 8-inch display and the Remote Touch interface. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are not available, and built-in navigation can add significant cost.
• Fuel efficiency: The RX 350L is rated at 19 mpg city, 26 highway, and 22 combined. The hybrid option is rated at 31 city, 28 highway, and 30 combined.

Which 2018 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2018 Lexus RX is offered in 2 trim levels: RX 350L and RX 450hL.

Here's the short version:

• RX 350L: This is the standard gas choice, and it gives you the core RX experience with the V6, the luxury basics, and the standard safety suite. It is the better fit if you want the lowest entry price and do not need hybrid efficiency.
• RX 450hL: This is the efficiency-focused choice, pairing the V6 with electric motors for stronger fuel economy and standard second-row captain’s chairs. It suits you best if you want the hybrid powertrain and are willing to pay more for it.

The standard safety suite is a strong plus, but blind-spot monitoring is not standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Lexus RX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,405 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.79% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,628, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $26,574 sits slightly below last year's $27,335.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than assuming the model will hold firm at every price point. Well-kept examples with desirable features should still attract attention, but you may need to price competitively if you want a quick sale.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Lexus RX safe?

The 2018 Lexus RX earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and four-star overall safety ratings from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in all tests other than side crash categories where it scored five-star ratings across the board.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning and intervention, and forward-collision warning and intervention with auto braking. That is a strong standard package for the class, but blind-spot monitoring is not standard, which is a notable gap if you want broader driver assistance coverage.

Should I buy a 2018 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2018 adds a third-row twist, but the extra seating is tight and best suited to occasional use.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $23,906, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $26,574 average.
• It adds standard Safety System + coverage and broader package availability.

The bottom line: If you want the newer year with softer pricing and a large used inventory, the 2018 is the better starting point. If your priority is saving money and you do not need the 2018’s specific three-row setup, the 2017 is the more budget-friendly path.
