Used 2018 Kia Soul for Sale nearLos Angeles, CA

How much does the 2018 Kia Soul cost?

Prices have softened 1.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 959 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Kia Soul a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Kia Soul earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its reliability and great value for the price, and they also highlight its enjoyable style and features. That fits the Soul’s use case well if you want a small hatchback with a roomy cabin, distinctive personality, and everyday practicality. With 31.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Kia Soul reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary specifically calls out reliability, and it also ties the Soul to great value for the price. That combination suggests you can expect a used example to be a sensible long-term ownership choice if you buy one in good condition. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about how well the individual car has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Kia Soul?

At 50.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the pedals, cabin condition, and any signs of poor repair quality or wear. Because some owners mention limited space between the accelerator and brake pedals and the absence of a spare tire, it’s worth checking those details carefully during your test drive and walkaround.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Kia Soul?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can buy now if the right listing checks out, but it still pays to be selective.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 959 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.42% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 50.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,977, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $10,203 sits slightly below last year's $10,350.

That small decline suggests the Soul is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. For a future seller, that means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and whether your car stands out as a clean, well-kept example. The current market also shows enough inventory that buyers can compare options, so presentation and maintenance history matter. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 50.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $8,842, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $10,203 average.
• It offers quirky styling with updated looks and available turbocharged power.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the better all-around pick if you want stronger owner satisfaction and a still-reasonable market price. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2017 is the more budget-friendly path, especially if you value personality over newer-market pricing.

How does the 2018 Kia Soul compare to the 2018 Honda HR-V?

The 2018 Kia Soul is the cheaper used buy by a wide margin, while the 2018 Honda HR-V brings more power, slightly better fuel economy, and a higher accident-free share. If you want the lower-cost, more distinctive option, the Soul makes sense; if you want a pricier but more conventional small crossover with stronger efficiency, the HR-V is the alternative to consider.
