How much does the 2018 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 2.92% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,767 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 4.71/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its value, reliability, and fuel economy, while also highlighting its safety features and technology. The Civic’s stylish, sporty personality helps it stand out if you want a compact car that feels more engaging than a basic commuter. For you, that means it works well as an everyday compact car with broad appeal and a well-rounded feature set. With 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2018 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as reliable and dependable, and many say it is a car they can count on for everyday use. The review summary also emphasizes its value and fuel economy, which often matter to buyers planning to keep a car for the long haul. At the same time, you should still shop carefully because used examples can vary in condition and maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Civic?

At 47.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if the price looks unusually strong. Put inspection priority on body condition, repair quality, and signs of past collision work, since those issues can affect long-term ownership costs. It also makes sense to focus on maintenance records and overall condition so you can separate a well-kept car from one that has simply been priced aggressively.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Civic?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,767 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.92% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 47.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,652, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $16,090 sits slightly below last year's $16,573.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also suggests future resale may depend heavily on how well you preserve the car. If you keep mileage reasonable, maintain service records, and avoid accident history, you give yourself a better chance of holding value. A clean, well-documented Civic should remain easier to sell than one with questionable history or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 47.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $17,392, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $16,090 average.
• It adds a broader lineup with more body styles and powertrain choices.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2018 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction is high. If you are willing to spend more for a wider range of configurations, the 2019 is the better secondary path for price-sensitive buyers who still want Civic appeal.
