How much does the 2018 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 3.45% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,814 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Accord earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, advanced technology, and ample interior space, and the overview points to a midsize family sedan that is practical, roomy, efficient, and more engaging to drive than many rivals. That mix makes it a strong fit if you want a commuter that still feels rewarding behind the wheel. With 30.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market also gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its smooth ride, advanced technology, and roomy cabin. The expert summary also describes it as reliable, roomy, efficient, and unpretentious, which reinforces the idea that this is a sedan built to handle regular ownership well. Honda’s cost-effectiveness notes also emphasize that the Accord packs a lot of features, refinement, and powertrain quality for the money.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the Accord’s core durability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by heavy use or skipped service.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Accord?

At 49.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had prior bodywork or shows signs of uneven wear. Focus on condition, service records, and how the car drives in real-world use, since the Accord’s appeal depends heavily on its balance of comfort, refinement, and driver engagement. If you are comparing multiple listings, pay close attention to how equipment changes by trim, because some versions leave out features you may expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the simplest version, and the base trim is the one most likely to leave out features you may want. Higher trims add a more upscale feel, and the cabin quality is described as especially strong for the class.
• Powertrain: The 1.5-liter turbo four makes 192 hp and is paired with a CVT, while the 2.0-liter turbo four makes 252 hp and uses a 10-speed automatic. The 2.0-liter setup is the more powerful and more engaging choice, while the 1.5T is still described as enough engine for the car.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing comes standard and includes auto-braking, forward collision alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring is standard on the 2.0T Sport and EX trims and above.
• Infotainment: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trims except the base LX. Honda’s infotainment system is described as fast and easy to use, and wireless device charging is standard on the Touring and optional on other trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.5T CVT is rated at 30 mpg city and 38 mpg highway, while the 2.0T automatic drops to 23 mpg city and 34 mpg highway.

Which 2018 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2018 Honda Accord is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without some of the convenience and tech features found higher up the range.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more appealing mix of equipment and driving character, and it is also one of the trims where the stronger 2.0-liter engine is available.
• EX: This trim is a smart step up if you want more comfort and convenience without jumping all the way to the top of the range.
• EX-L: This is the better pick if you want a more upscale feel and more of the features that make the Accord feel close to a premium sedan.
• Touring: Choose this if you want the most fully equipped Accord, including the highest level of tech and convenience features.

Honda Sensing comes standard across the lineup, while blind-spot monitoring is standard on the 2.0T Sport and EX trims and above.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,814 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.45% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 49.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,546, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $17,806 sits slightly below last year's $18,442.

That softer pricing suggests the Accord has become a more approachable used buy, which can help you if you are shopping now but may limit upside if you are thinking about future resale gains. Even so, the model’s broad appeal, strong owner satisfaction, and reputation for being practical and rewarding to drive should help it stay in demand. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment are likely to hold buyer interest better than neglected or stripped-down ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord safe?

The 2018 Honda Accord is rated a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, scoring the highest in all five crash tests and a separate crash-avoidance test that measures the auto-braking system.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing comes standard on every Accord and includes auto-braking, forward collision alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control. Auto high beams, LED low-beam headlights, a driver attention monitor, and a backup camera with three views also come standard. Blind-spot monitoring is standard on the 2.0T Sport and EX trims and above.

A lower rating for the headlights kept the Accord from earning a Top Safety Pick+ rating, so that is the main safety caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Prices have softened 3.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2018 model is an all-new redesign, which gives it a fresh foundation and a more modern feel.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of value, freshness, and driving appeal, the 2018 Accord is the right place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may find better bargains by widening your search, but the 2018 remains a strong choice because it combines solid market pricing with high owner satisfaction and a well-rounded feature set.

How does the 2018 Honda Accord compare to the 2018 Toyota Camry?

Our experts score the 2018 Honda Accord 8.2/10 and the 2018 Toyota Camry 8/10. The Accord has the edge in expert score and offers more listings, while the Camry has a slightly higher share of good and great deals and a slightly higher accident-free share. The Accord also brings a more engaging driving character, while the Camry comparison points to stronger highway fuel economy.
